Gubaba Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 The same three planes that show up in the distance here...? Quote

miriya Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Is this boxset worth getting? I have not seen the show yet. http://www.discountanimedvd.com/Product-30...D-Box-Set-1.asp Quote
yellowlightman Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 People actually read AICN? I don't... but they seem to like linking my site, so I won't complain. Quote

The dub is actually good also. One of the best mecha shows to come out in recent years. That review from AIC was total trash. Quote
Mr March Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 That review from AIC was total trash. What? Trash on AICN? No, how can this be? Quote
Hikuro Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I wanna know where the hell they come up with "Season 1 box set" for 13 episodes, is it cause 13 is a rounded off number of the 26 episodes? I mean k'mon......why not just say "Aquarion Part 1: Contains episodes 1-13" Quote
Beltane70 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Don't they technically consider 13 episodes as a season in Japan? Quote
Graham Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Heh, Aquarion aired in 2005! I swear all these newbs must think we live in a box shut off from all human contact, just waiting for them to come and enlighten us! Graham Quote
azrael Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I swear all these newbs must think we live in a box shut off from all human contact, just waiting for them to come and enlighten us! It's kinda like Lost. The newbies think we, the Others, don't know about them and that we have no contact with the outside world. But the truth is, we know more than they think, much more. Quote

VFTF1 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Wasn't Macross the Japanese dub of the American Robotech series? We can win! If we try! Let's fly! And the enemy shall die! We can win! VFTF1 Quote
miriya Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Macross is actually the Japanese Knock off of the American series called "Transformers". Carl Mackek was the designer who invented transforming robots in 1985 for the Transformers company in the USA and some Japanese company called studio nue stole his idea and used it for some thing called macross. It is a very sad story. Quote
miriya Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Public apology... Now I feel bad about all the sarcastic comments. I realize that this may be really confusing to some new comers. Please disregard my last few posts. They were all wrong and so silly they should be ashamed of themselves. Bad comments. Bad comments. Quote
miriya Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 And especially because whenever I wear my macross tee shirts people, say, "Hey, cool shirt! Is that the transformers?" ....and then I cry. Quote
Mr March Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Oh please. Everyone knows that Mobile Suit Gundam was inspired by Macross and it was Gundam from which Macek stole the idea for transforming robots, the concept of which was originally an Evangelion rip off...because everything is. Quote
