Oihan Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Oh yeah, I forgot about The World is Mine. Which reminds me, Project Diva 2nd! You are right, the composer provides both melody and lyrics. It's basically like a music-mixing program in a way. You spell out the lyrics at different pitches. Here's a screenshot of how it works (this is the Vocaloid 1 program by the way): Wow! That definitely looks complicated! I would be completely lost trying to get everything to come out sounding just right...etc. I must say though, I'm watching the 'Live Concert' video and I'm quite impressed. I'm liking what I'm hearing. Is there an album out? Quote
shiroikaze Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) ... Right-clicked, saved. Wow! That definitely looks complicated! I would be completely lost trying to get everything to come out sounding just right...etc. I must say though, I'm watching the 'Live Concert' video and I'm quite impressed. I'm liking what I'm hearing. Is there an album out? There's no album for the concert as far as I know, but there is a "Vote for the next Blu-Ray Release" promotion going on at the moment and the Miku's Thank You concert is winning by a landslide. You could still get most of the songs from various places, like here for example. [Aside] Amazing, my brother has 700+ Vocaloid songs... Edited March 20, 2010 by shiroikaze Quote
Vepariga Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 anyone find it kind of scary/strange/amazing that we have LIVE concerts for a computer? the age where Sharon Apple will rise is close my friends, just hope they dont make the intellegence TOO smart. the last thing we want is a 'skynet' that sings songs while it kills you. I do like miku's hair tho..and if they had a concert oneday that was holographic and massive laser/light show id be in that crowd Quote

Vepariga Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWSeSlH-Gdw one of the vocaloids gets a series by the looks of it. Black Rock Shooter anime being aired in April 2010 looks cool,i like the designs. Quote
shiroikaze Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 (edited) It's kinda funny how it got started. Black Rock Shooter had nothing to do with Vocaloids at first. It was all mere coincidence that the two were brought together. <img src="http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> [edit] Or... at least I think it was a coincidence. [edit]Looking up TV Tropes, looks like Kokoro is getting a musical while Daughter of Evil is getting a theater-play. <a href="http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Vocaloid" target="_blank">http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Vocaloid</a> Edited June 16, 2010 by shiroikaze Quote

shiroikaze Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) Maybe I'll link some good Vocaloid music at some point but this, this, you must read this: Chibi Miku-san (Danbooru link, so nsfw) It's an extremely adorable 4-panel comic revolving around the life of chibi Miku. I linked the Danbooru site since it's much easier to go through and there are translation notes on a couple of strips that do have dialogue. If you don't want to go through Danbooru, the artist does have strips 1 to 430 on his website: http://carafuru.web.fc2.com/comic.htm Edited March 29, 2010 by shiroikaze Quote

wolfx Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 OMG, the Sheryl Nome & Sharon Apple applications are mind boggling! People already commented on that during the Miku Fest concert. Scary innit? And Macross had been accurate with their visions on the future of music. Like Lynn Minmay and the whole idol phenomena for example. Then now, virtual idols. Quote
