jenius Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Right now everything seems premature. Do let us know when you have more info though! Quote

charger69 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 For eye candy 1/48 Roy Focker Weathering Special Large Scale Images Quote
UN Spacy Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 charger makes this thread worth visiting...thanks man! Quote
Vegas Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 a MUST have. this should have been the 25th anniv. version Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Thanks for posting those pics charger69, now we can really make out the fine details. I'm no expert on planes, but it looks like Yamato really went overboard with the weathering. If Yamato added some battle damage, this would make an excellent battle damaged Roy. As it is, it looks like Roy just flew through a Zentraedi chimney stack. Good news guys, you now have one less person to worry about when bidding for these on ebay. Quote
Graham Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Got mine last night. Pretty cool. Yamato actually put quite a few small decals on the toy. Graham Quote
Golden Arms Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Graham, please tell us that Yamato plans a general release for this toy so us westerners will have an opportunity to purchase this bird. Quote
Vermillion21 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Damn those pics make me want this toy .... thanks for posting the pics Charger69!! Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Yes please tell us what we all want to hear, release for us Macrossworlders! I nominate for special Macross World release edition just coz yamato cares. Quote
Vegas Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 with all the these limited edition crap coming out, i think we should ask yamato to have a MW own special limited version, what do you guys think? impossible? yah yamato......give macrossworld an exclusive valk!!!! Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Like a friend shop limited edition thing. Hey all let's be yamato's frieeeeeend. Now we need an official shop! Quote
Graham Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Decals, or tampo prints? Water side decals. Not as good as Tampo printing would have been, but better than a kick up the ass. Graham Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Water slide? Going all out on this one. :-) Quote
robokochan Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Get ready for prices to shoot through the roof. Yamato limited the order of these to 1 per person / address. Not only did they make it available only in Japan, they made it more more limited by limiting the amount that will be made and sold. Rob Quote

Not only did they make it available only in Japan, they made it more more limited by limiting the amount that will be made and sold. Rob Doing this would not be smart for Yamato. They should make it available to the public and then re-issue the entire line weathered like this. I would definitely buy them all over again. Quote
Chowser Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Yamato, milk the mold! People want to buy. Send the 1/48 line out with a bang! Quote

Not only did they make it available only in Japan, they made it more more limited by limiting the amount that will be made and sold. Rob With this information I am going to guess that this will become more collectible and rare and expensive than the Low Vis 1 by far. So, where is the ordering page on the yamato site? I may try to have my friend in Tokyo try to get one. Quote

Wicked Ace Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Is is difficult to set up a P.O. Box in Japan? Quote
miriya Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Is is difficult to set up a P.O. Box in Japan? ohhhh, good thinking! Quote
Uxi Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 What is all this limited to Japan? This means no Asia/HK? What's the normal distribution? We never get them in NA anyways... maybe I'll go by Frank & Sons to see if they have any. I kinda wish ALL releases were weathered rather than "showroom" clean, myself. Quote

Rob I guess that was the kick in the A$$ that Graham was talking about. I just hope the boot I get hit with has a Macross Kite on it. Quote
Ghostkiller Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 nice valk but the fact that only japanese people can get it it is a shame and an insult to the fans that we are so yamato listen up : here is my respond just keep your over weathered vf-1s I prefer mine !!! Quote
doodler7 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 (edited) Great work GhostKiller. I've tweaked the colors a bit to bring out the white, some slight noise reduction, and tone down the yellow. I'm sure the photos don't do justice on your VF-1S, but hopefully this version will show more of it's colors. Edited March 16, 2008 by doodler7 Quote
Save Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Details: Orders take place on "April Fools Day" April 1st at noon. One item person. Cost is 18,690 to $185. Please hold on sending me PM requests until I can figure out a way of ordering more than one via friends, co-workers, homeless, and already dead Japanese residents. Quote

My instincts were right. This thing was prepped to become an instant classic. Quote
