First we have to secure the purchases before we can offer anything but we will be trying. Will pm you if we get some. Edited December 12, 2008 by Save Quote

wwkkim Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Can anyone post a photo of the second version of VF-1S weatheirng special? Had a chance to talk with tokyohunter yesterday and he said it was delivered in a black box. Quote
tank Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 really now for the price and its just weathering made it that expensive? its not worth it. i would just rather buy a regular version and have a good modeller painting it 5 times better than that in my opinion. Quote
Tokyo Hunter Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 I've just posted comparison pics of the reissue and second version on my blog. http://tokyohunter.blogspot.com/2008/12/ya...weathering.html Quote
m0n5t3r Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 thanks for the info. so, what was the one with the glossy slip cover that came out before the December re-issue??? saw a couple of them in HK last month selling for around ~US$300. Quote
Kicker773 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 picked my first one when they announced that they were going to re-release it for the original price it was going for to begin with. Bought a second one to display, then today the GF bought me my third one. Don't know if its the 2nd edition or not, but i'm pretty siked that the GF bought it for my bday!! She is starting to understand and hopefully like Macross =) Quote
Project Phoenix Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Don't rub it in. Most of us didn't even have one and you have three... Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I know Tokyohunter posted the difference between the reissue and the 2nd release. Whats the difference between: 1. Wonderfest release 2. Reissue (Black box with sleeve cover and more glossier and has extra plastic inside covering the box) 3. 2nd Release So whats the difference between the 1st and 2nd release? I'm comparing and I know I have 2 and 3, but not sure about the other two? Any help? Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Also I did notice the paper where it indicates it as weathered is different in the Reissue and 2nd release. Anyone else notice this? Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Anyone? Has this forum died in the past 24hour? Or no one wants to help a brotha out Quote
m0n5t3r Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 sorry bro, guess most of us don't have even one of these things... but i did mention that i saw (and almost bought) one of the glossy slipped-covered ones in HK last Dec. going for around $300... and i heard recently that there are some of the latest re-issues available in HK for around ~$248... i just might grab me one if the price is still the same or lower when i go back there later this year... Kicker773 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 thanks bud, I appreciate the answer, i'll try to do some research, but i think there were only a handful of people who went to WF and got one. So they are the only ones who can tell the difference =( Quote
Vegas Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 cover sleeve on mine wasnt that glossy and i believe mine was the first release Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 is the first release the same as the one released at WF? I have both first release (the one that was sold online) and the Reissue, both of which Tokyohunter explained in his page. I'm curious if there is a third version, the WF version or is it the same? Quote
Vegas Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 is the first release the same as the one released at WF? yes i think so. theyre identical. online version though has a small white paper with written on japanese Quote
Vegas Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 hmm.. ok.. thanks bud do you have pics of the 3? Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 (edited) I'll have pics of the three when i get home, but I'll have pics of the four when the other ones arrives hopefully. According to USPS: "Your item left HONG KONG AIR MAIL CENTRE, HONG KONG on March 13, 2009. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later." ...ergh..crossing my fingers that it will go through customs smoothly..lol I did take pics of the difference in the white paper indicating its weathered and so forth. Like Tokyohunter said the box are different: On the left is the Reissue and on the right is the 2nd release (notice the different papers) So basically there are only two kinds. I didn't bother to display the third one since its the same as the one on the right. Edited March 16, 2009 by Kicker773 Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 do you have pics of the 3? The two on the left is the one with black boxes and the two on the right are the regular VF1S boxes eating ramen noodles for a year paid off eh JK hehehe Glad i have an understanding GF Quote
rick dieck Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 mine is exactly what you have on the left Quote
Solscud007 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 The two on the left is the one with black boxes and the two on the right are the regular VF1S boxes Wait im confused. What is the difference with the inner boxes? one is black and the other is regular? what is "regular" Quote
m0n5t3r Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) regular - w/ box art i think (see pic on top of page) here's the pic fr tokyohunter... the plain black also doesn't have a box-flap. Edited March 23, 2009 by m0n5t3r Quote

MacrossMan Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Well here's the latest version to make an appearance. Black Slip Cover 1/48 VF-1S Weathered Roy I think I like this one better than all the rest. Now I just need the funds to cop it! Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 what the hell so there is another version? Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 what the hell so there is another version? I looked at the listing again. Guess what? The person who listed the item seems to have made a dramatic error with their photoshop madness of over/under correcting pictures. The listing is now for a blue slip cover as seen throughtout this thread. Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) about to say.... i don't feel like tracking another weathered one down Edited March 24, 2009 by Kicker773 Quote
