Tobi54
What would be the chances of this happening? It would make sense since by that time Frontier TV series should be done, and it'd be Macross: DYRL 25th anniversary. Most likely it'll depend of the commercial success of the current series. I'd be really excited to see the the level of production shown on the Frontier TV series brought up to an even bigger scope in the form of a feature film. I wonder if SK has mentioned anything regarding a movie.
badboy00z
I think ut's a little too early to be worrying about that considering the series hasn't even started officially yet. Lol.

Well, that was mentioned on my post, I was mainly looking at it from a timing perspective regarding the 25th anniversary of DYRL
Hikuro
Let's think and worry about that when the series actually progresses. It's generally a year or two before Kawamori even releases either an OVA or movie after a TV version is complete. Escaflowne and Aquarion are prime examples of such. Tobi54
Sigh, isn't 2009 and 2010 a year or 2? it's simple really, if you don't don't want to think or worry about it, don't.
Steve
I believe he meant two years after the the series finishes, which should be 2010, I think its planed for a two season run? Which would put any possible Movie or OAV release for 2012.
Sumdumgai
Timing means nothing if the TV series doesn't do well. A movie version may not even be worth doing if the TV series doesn't do well, or just plain old sucks. There wasn't a movie edition or movie of Macross Zero. Not everything warrants a movie (especially if it came originally from a manga).
azrael
Agreed...let's see how the TV series does FIRST, before we jump to a movie. This series could still potentially go off the deep end.
wolfx
I rather they have a Macross 7 movie 1s.

Macross007
they did one you know... Only 40 minutes. Way too short to be considered a movie in my opinion. It was more a OVA.
azrael
Only 40 minutes. Way too short to be considered a movie in my opinion. It was more a OVA. But it was shown in theaters so "movie".
wolfx
I meant a movie like DYRL?. They really should buy my script and idea.

chrono
Timing means nothing if the TV series doesn't do well. Yep! Producers don't like to back a failed product. But the mid-season ratings will give a healthly hint at whether we'll see a MF movie or not.
