thankheaven Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 After having seen Macross Zero valk after Macross Zero valk come out i was really hoping for a VF-0D. Its the best looking of the VF-0's in fightermode and i love the design of it. I wonder what the possiblities are for one to come out. The rest of the VF's from zero are made, Roy's VF-0S, Shinn's VF-0A, CF VF-0A, Ivanov SV-51, Nora SV-51 and CF SV-51 coming soon. The D is the only one left. Anyone know if the VF-0 was engineered for two seaters ? I'd kill to get a Shinn colored VF-0D for my collection. Though i feel the train has left the station if you know what i mean. Still i hope one day..... Just imagine this in 1/60 http://www.ms-plus.net/images_item/11000/11636_2.jpg Quote
miriya Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I was daydreaming about this very thing yesterday. I would love a 1/60 yamato VF-0D. I also think it looks great in Gerwalk mode too! Quote
Roy's Blues Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I hope so. Only Graham and Yamato know for sure. Here's some more, plus a CF Quote
miriya Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I hope so. Only Graham and Yamato know for sure. Here's some more, plus a CF Such a sweet mech. I prefer the Shin colored blue one but that CF looks fantastic too! Quote
thankheaven Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 I hope so. Only Graham and Yamato know for sure. Here's some more, plus a CF Looks awesome, i prefer the Shin version but both are great. Yamato could make both and then a few non-canon repaints. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I haven't bought any VF-0 because I'm waiting for this. And we need it, to go with the just-released Nora! Shin's 0D is the only VF-0 I'll buy, and I really want one. Delta-winged valks are very rare. Quote

Shin's 0D is the only VF-0 I'll buy, and I really want one. Delta-winged valks are very rare. Also the VF-0D was shown just as much if not more then the VF-0A and the D was Shin's primary valk for a long time. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 And it's the only way we'll get a little Edgar figure! Quote
do not disturb Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 i'd love nothing more but from what i can gather, it would require new molds for the wings, the backpack, tailfins, legs and a bunch of other things i'm probably leaving out. if only there was a good way for them to milk the molds for the 0D... Quote
Sumdumgai Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 While I would have been excited about a VF-0D before, ever since my VF-0A's shoulders broke apart I've lost almost all interest in seeing a 0D. While I would assume from the lack of complaints that the new 0S and 0A with ghost-booster have the fixed shoulders, I'm not holding my breath on it. If a problem-free 0D is made, I'll reconsider getting one. Till then, the 0-line has soured things for me regarding the VF-0. Quote
miriya Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 And it's the only way we'll get a little Edgar figure! So cute, little Edgar! Quote
miriya Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I have a VF-0A shin with booster that is problem free and supposedly the VF-0S with booster is too. I think they have sorted out that whole issue with biceps and shoulders. And now with their new QC person on board I think it looks bright. Although there are many new parts to be molded for the D, there are at least a couple parts that they could use from the S and A molds. I am going to be optimistic about this one because I really want it! Quote
Coota0 Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 While they're at it I'd like to see a VF-0B too. It was never seen on tv but it looks cool! Quote
miriya Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 While they're at it I'd like to see a VF-0B too. It was never seen on tv but it looks cool! Where do I find a VF-0B? Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 It's basically an A, but with the 2-person cockpit of a D. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models...a/vf0b/vf0b.htm Quote
Fly4victory Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Where do I find a VF-0B? Hasegawa Models. There is a 1/72 version from the "Space Proving Wing". It is a red and white two seater with standard VF-0 wings. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 If they made a 0D, then they could (assuming it all fit) use the 0D's cockpit with a 0A everything else, and have a 0B. C'mon---that's two new variants for half the cost of an all-new mold. Plus the fact that Shin's 0D is not some minor lackey background valk. It's the featured mecha of several episodes! It's Shin's! Which he flew more than the 0A! (Technically, he only flew the 0A once) Quote
sqidd Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I would snap up some "D's" with the quickness! Quote
thankheaven Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 (edited) If they can make an YF-21 that came in only one color in the show they can make a 0D that came in two. Also the VF-0D got way more screentime then the VF-1D in macross. ...I also wouldn't mind a 0B in Space Proving Wing colors Edited January 15, 2008 by thankheaven Quote
Dante74 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Is the VF-0B considered to be canon? It thought it was only a Hasegawa kit. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 When has "canon" stopped a Yamato release? Quote
Dante74 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Well, up untill now Yamato has only released non-canon paintscheme's, not actuall non existent models. Quote
Sumdumgai Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Since the VF-0B seems to be Hasegawa only so far, would they have the rights to the 0B? The reason I pose that question is because I remember it being discussed that the project supernova orange and supernova blue color schemes belonged to Hasegawa. Well, hell, if Yamato pulls out a VF-0D with no problems and has a good color scheme... I'm in. Quote
charger69 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 (edited) We already have a custom VF-0D in 1/72 scale And it looks fabulous!! Edited January 16, 2008 by charger69 Quote

charger69 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Unfortunately I couldn't find the web page that I've found months ago while I saved these pictures... But this custom is HOT! A VF-0D is the only VF-0 that I would pay! Listen to my song YAMATO!!! Quote
