The absolute finest sandpaper you can find.... For polish I would use a jewel cleaner. NOT brasso. Brasso would probably stain the plastic back. Try it on a small piece first and test it. Quote

I was thinking I might try that...or possibly the soaking in the pinesol or whatever it is to just take all the paint off and then just doing a repaint my self. I am so unsure.....especially since I have not painted before. At least not with an Airbrush....and that is what I would like to use. Quote
big F Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Fine 1000 or higher and use water with it too. You can use plastic polish but it takes ages and you'll hate the Jetfire as its got so many fiddly bits to polish. Quote
Skull-1 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 A dremel with a buffing wheel would do it faster. Quote
valkyrie13 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I saw this in one of the TV shows from Japan (showing modeling technicques)... I forgot the name of the show but it was on Youtube last year... Use sand paper (3000 or higher), followed by some compound and a lot of waxing with cloth... Quote

Heh.....I just happen to have a dremel with a buffing wheel but I am afraid I will go too deep and screw up the plastic. I am going to try that pine sol method this evening and see how that works. Just take all the paint off. Quote
