troyness Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Enjoying my" Mospeada complete artworks book 2009",the size of a comic book, and as thick as a graphic novel!! A nice keepsake and reference, and has inspired some new pose,s for my Beagle!! Quote
derex3592 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Just ordered mine from Amazon. OUCH! GOD i hate shipping charges. oh well, it will look good displayed by all my Mospeada Mecha. Quote
Tober Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 It's a bit of a pity that there isn't alot more new artwork in there. But it's a well rounded book for the actual series. Hopefully there will be a second book of rarer material, or even more concept work like we see on the cover. Interesting that the Mospeada on the cover has roughly the same dimensions as the Beagle Mospeadas, the rider armour anyway. Quote
akim Posted September 2, 2009 Author Posted September 2, 2009 (edited) Oh, that reminds me. Next I will get some nice high rez scans of the backs of the DVD cases. There are some low rez scans on the Internet of some of the artwork, but no scans of the entire back. The fronts all have LLA art on them and are not very interesting. Maybe someone who owns the laser disks would like to post some high rez scans/photos? That would be cool. Hi Totoro242, Do have you some news about your project ? We'll appreciate to see new Mospeada artwork who isn't in the artbook So there are not in this book: "Electric car" (seen before in this thread), transformation details Tlead, insignia localizations on legioss/tlead/armor rider/ (see Carl's pics in this same topic), some Inbit linearts...(we can see few of them in Totoro242's scans like Inbit evolution ).... Maybe all of these and more concept art in a future book? akim. Edited September 4, 2009 by akim Quote

CAIN MKII Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) Those HJ line arts are sweet: any hi-rez scan anybody? I've got my book today from animebooks. It's a very nice collection of drawing but you still need to keep your entertainment bible. It's too bad some illustrations are ridiculously small, I would rather like full page rendition. And yes, those new arts are awesome and I would like more of them. Edited September 17, 2009 by CAIN MKII Quote
Whamhammer Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Hey guys, I'm in a pickle. As I've mentioned on the other sections in Mospeada/New Generationland , I broke my Toynami Shadow Alpha (shocker). I was setting it up in my display case in place of my Green Alpha/Legioss ,who will be getting moved in my "Alpha-Beta-McRibb combo" section , it was fresh from the box (knowing how fragile ShadowAlphas have been in the past it was N.R.F.B.) . While trying to bring the landing gear out to connect it to the exterior panel, my finger slipped and I snapped the right-hand "strake" on its pivot-point. In the attached picture (Thanks VF') , the area where Bernards right foot is placed (the "strake") is the area that is broken on mine. Does anyone have a beat up Toynami Shadow Fighter that I might be able to buy from them (with that part intact, of course)? Worst case, any Toynami Alphas for that matter, but preffereable a Shadow. I can make a payment through paypal if need be. Thanks in advance, Whammy' ) Edited September 15, 2009 by Whamhammer Quote

Jasonc Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Speaking of the Mospeada art book that just came out, has it been discussed if there will, in fact, be a second book? I wonder how well this book has sold? Quote

In MOSPEADA there was MANY MOSPEADA bike/armor designs that never made it to the screen. One of these (not sure what the original name for it was) Was adopted by the RPGs and renamed the Devastator However, it only ever appeared in the RIFTS-style fan-made RPG materials, and never in anything that was officially produced (I just skimmed through all my scans of the official RPG books and can't find it in any of them). Interestingly, this design was later taken by Tommy Yune, slightly modified, renamed the "Super Cyclone," touted as a "new" design, used in Shadow Chronicles, and THEN used in the Robotech: Shadow Chronicles RPG book. Bariaburu Faita Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) This appears to be a fan made rules supplement for the Seig Zion Gundam RPG by Tsukuda Hobby, that allows the use of the various Mospeada mecha. This particular auction was for a second printing from 1995 by Rcompany. Various other 80`s mecha shows were made into simmilar rules supplements. Since Tsukuda Hobby and Rcompany have gone to the big D6 in the sky, and modern japanese dicechuckers are all but extinct this is a very rare item. Do your part to restore the natural habitat and feeding grounds of the endangered dicechucker by culling the herds of feral cardfloppers, if you have any young cardfloppers in your household, please spay or neuter them. akim Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 (edited) Hi everybody, By hazard, i compare my data about AFC and data in this new Mospeada artbook and there is an error: About AFC-01Z mecha data in mospeada artbook, it's written ATF-415...but in reality, it's ATF-412... Edit: Some missing details in this artbook:"protector Inbit" (p.75) doesn't have weight... No mecha design of "AFC-01" Drone seen in episode 11...AFC-01D, AFC-01D page So lineart exists.. to be continued... akim. Edited October 3, 2009 by akim Quote
akim Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 just one word...as if i think it's not the good topic... In RTSC artbook, we can see several sketches of Icarus..one of them is very inspired from an unseen and unpublished artwork Mospeada, the "Ikazuti 41" from Mars Base.... Unfortunately i can't put evidence...just seen it...and just want to tell you... One other sentence...i think HG has got more artworks (pre and post-production Mospeada) than we can see in all collected documents for the moment... If one day, we could see this 2nd Mospeada unreleased artworks artbook, maybe could we check it... akim. Quote

RavenHawk Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 (edited) WOW!!! I LOVE that look to the Scott and Marlene charachters! Would be interesting to see an updated telling of MOSPEADA, with the current animations styles and technology (sort of like Bubblegum Crisis 2040). Please, nobody mention Shadow Chronicles here... EDIT: Then again, since that new version of Megazone 23, which already had mecha designs ready, got canned, guess we can't expect much for MOSPEADA. Still, Aramaki's new artwork in the new MOSPEADA Complete Works book really is gorgeous. Edited October 8, 2009 by RavenHawk Quote
derex3592 Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Ohhh......If "they" did a retelling of Mospeada with some kind of cool new artwork like the above drawings, that would be sweeeet! akim Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 Please, nobody mention Shadow Chronicles here.. As it has been said in past, i just noticed some non used post production Mospeada lineart has been partially used in RTSC...like the armor rider used as "Super cyclone"...you've shown it in this post before, that's all...
