DarrinG Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Still no book - Nippon Express - where are you?? Quote
Jasonc Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Just got confirmation of my two copies from Kinokuniya Los Angeles. This is definitely something to add to the Mospeada library. Quote
ahiachris Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Still no book - Nippon Express - where are you?? My supplier called me today and told me that my copy just arrived. I'll be picking it up later Quote
troyness Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Just ordered my 2 copies from hlj.com ,in the last couple of days the art book has gone from backordered to low stock ,and back to backordered...I guess that,s a good sign that it,s selling well (atleast from hlj anyway). Quote
AcroRay Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Mine's on the way from HLJ - thank goodness! "Backordered" is usually pretty scary. But I'd have missed it completely if it weren't for this thread! Quote
DarrinG Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 The book is great. So many cool details. This series should have had a sequel, guess it may still the way we're keeping it alive. Not only should the Toynami Beta have featured the top shoulder missiles, it should have had bombs as well . . . (there is still room for a true masterpiece!) Quote
akim Posted August 25, 2009 Author Posted August 25, 2009 And these..? Do you have notice : Save Mospeada complete works review Where are wheels? One word: Most of lineart posted in this thread are not in this book...funny... akim. Quote
DarrinG Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Here are a few of my favorites: Note how he's targeting the clam shell, then you even get to see the explosions from the hit. And how come we never got to see this "eject sequence" (not that I remember anyway) . . . Quote
akim Posted August 25, 2009 Author Posted August 25, 2009 Here are a few of my favorites: Note how he's targeting the clam shell, then you even get to see the explosions from the hit. And how come we never got to see this "eject sequence" (not that I remember anyway) . . . hummm look at the first post of this topic for eject sequence Quote
DarrinG Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Huh - yep - I see it there. I also see the art of the Tread changing modes, that is not in the new book I believe. Curious, as it a "complete art works" . . . Quote
Gui Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 They probably plan to release a "volume 2" in a little while... I got my copy from HLJ yesterday: it's all good stuff but I'd like some of the pics to be bigger, sometimes you have to look very closely to see the details; 10 or 12 years back, artbooks were more generous than nowaday Quote
mechaban Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Don't know if this is the right thread for this or if I should start a new one, but can we get this translated? Quote
jenius Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I'm fairly certain that's been translated before somewhere. It's a diagram of the longer range militaries joining with Mars Base for an assault but I forget the nuances. Quote
