Vermillion21 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Released this August?? FAWK. This is going to be an expensive summer .....
nightmareB4macross Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Time flies, when you work hard to keep up with Yamato.
Vermillion21 Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Thats far away. Not "far away" enough for me. I've got the YF-21 on pre-order, plus TF Animated toys will be released in June, plus I've been collecting the 25th anniversary Joes .... My wallet HATES me .....
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) Good, august, that's good. Really good. I hope we will get something nice like the VF-1D for Christmas then. AND THIS MINMAY, 50 cms! Awesome! Poseable? PVC? Cast off? :P I WANT PICS! What does she look like Graham? Nice?? Deffinently getting both Roy combo and standalone Strike/Super pack. Be the first and last time (unless a TV colour?) for an early bird price for the Strike Super pack. And eventually i will no doubt need one (like for a CF that comes standalone or a set to give the 1D some more firepower...) Atleast now i hope they will include the GBP-1S as a combo pack with the VF-1J for starters (please!) seeing that they have done it recently with the 1/48. Edited February 24, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie

There's a pic of the Minmay figure in the Macross F News thread
recon Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Pictures of the 1/60 Strike VF-1S Courtesy of http://www.ota-suke.jp
kensei Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Stickers are terrible, dare I say worse than the original 1/48 ones. The UN Spacy kite has a thick black outline, I hate that. And the Skull on the FAST Pack is grossly undersized. The toy itself, is great. I'm glad it's cheaper, but I'll be forced to ask Takatoys for after market sticker service.
Kyp Durron Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 $125 USD for the Strike/Super combo? Sounds good to me! -Kyp
Kyp Durron Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I'm glad it's cheaper, but I'll be forced to ask Takatoys for after market sticker service. Good luck with that, I haven't been able to get a hold of him via email for a while now. -Kyp
Dobber Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 So I'm guessing that the Roy Strike won't include the extra Super part......infact are the fronts of the boosters even removable? Chris
UN Spacy Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 It looks like 1/60 stickers on a 1/48 Fast Pack.
CF18 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Looks like they are pulling a little trick here: The cockpit already have enough room for two pilots, like thr 1:60 YF-19. It will not cost much for them to make VF-1D and VT-1.
misterryno Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 That new 1/60's lookin nice.....but.....I will be waiting for the M&M's and a Hikky 1S Strike to come along before I purchase any.

misterryno Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Don't lie, you know you're gonna get the Roy when it comes out...[/Jedi mind-trick] -Kyp Your Jedi mind tricks will not work on me Durron!!! My will is strong!!!
kensei Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Good luck with that, I haven't been able to get a hold of him via email for a while now. -Kyp Well there's always Anasazi23.
Scream Man Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 is that all the VF-1 pics we get? bummer...
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Does it look a little off with the seat up front like that? Agree, 2 seaters easy.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 is that all the VF-1 pics we get? bummer... Exactly. The first time I saw the pics, I was like "you mean to tell me this is all we are going to see from Wonderfest?". Geez, the guys taking pics should have forgot taking pics of the vinyl fixed pose chick statues, those are always on the market. I'm probably going to preorder the bundle pack to save money, and besides, I'm determined to get armor to begin with. I like how it looks, just wish we could see more.
Vermillion21 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 1/60 perfect transforming VF-1 is looking good to me .... sweet.
Dante74 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Stickers are terrible, dare I say worse than the original 1/48 ones. The UN Spacy kite has a thick black outline, I hate that. And the Skull on the FAST Pack is grossly undersized. The toy itself, is great. I'm glad it's cheaper, but I'll be forced to ask Takatoys for after market sticker service. These are probably just some stickers they had lying around and they put them on the prototype. I hope...
Graham Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Photos from Winter Wonder Festival 2008. Thanks to MWer: SaveRobotech. Stop worrying about the stickers guys. This is not a final production version. Graham
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 (edited) Thanks for the new pics SaveRobotech and G-Man! heh heh, strange for me saying this coz i'm a fighter mode whore, but i prefer to see pics of Battroid more than the f/mode. Edited February 25, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie
NMWT-44 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Don't really like the Fast pack color, same as those for 1/48s.......
Dante74 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Looks like engine detail under the covers. I'll bet you the engine covers come off.
isamu_dyson Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 did 10290 yen is the price tag for the 1/60 alone ?
Bub Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Thanks for the pictures. been drooling over these.
sidearmsalpha Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Don't really like the Fast pack color, same as those for 1/48s....... Yeah, I don't get why they keep sticking to this color?! It's way off.
RDClip Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 (edited) So I'm guessing that the Roy Strike won't include the extra Super part......infact are the fronts of the boosters even removable? Chris I hope it can be a super FAST PACK. I always wanted a TV Roy Super. (just gotta swap out the pilot for a repainted one and repaint the head arrows) Edited February 25, 2008 by RDClip
recon Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 (edited) Graham, Is there any way of convincing Yamato to tampo the skull emblem onto the heatshield instead of providing a sticker for it? Another request would be to make some twikings to the Fps color such that its more anime accurate blue. Please help to pass this request to Yamato for attention, other than that the 1/60 VF-1s Strike is beautiful Edited February 25, 2008 by recon
nightmareB4macross Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Graham, I know it's not the final production, but what up with: 1. The protruding light on the booster tip? 2. The hand covers in fighter, are plugs? Panel lines? 3. Why not just go with two completely different sculpts of the top half of the fuselage instead of shoving the pilot all the way to front? The pilot looks cramped in there. Is he an amputee like the old 1/60 versions?
