Agent-GHQ Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I'm hoping Yamato can do the VE-1 and VT-1 as well. Not just the other already 1/60 VT-1 and VE-1.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I wonder if more 1/60s will be shown at winter wonderfest, and if they will be shown in painted form too.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Have to say the VF-1D is now top of the list of my "most wanted". then the VT-1.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 VF-1D show colors is a definite buy for me. However I also want to see it in low viz, and tiger meet colors. Surprised I've never seen a tiger meet VF-1.
Wicked Ace Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) Surprised I've never seen a tiger meet VF-1. I'm surprised, too. The Customs gallery on the main page has some really cool stuff. Skull-1's handy work in 1/55 scale: Kurt's custom in 1/48 scale: This would be cool in 1/60 scale, too. Edited February 11, 2008 by Wicked Ace
kensei Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 The second one is a work of art. The first one, not really. Pass mark for effort.
Wicked Ace Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 The second one is a work of art. The first one, not really. Pass mark for effort. I disagree. I like both.
eugimon Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I can appreciate the artistry and the technical achievement in both, but I never 'got' the tiger scheme's aesthetic value.
kensei Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) I can appreciate the artistry and the technical achievement in both, but I never 'got' the tiger scheme's aesthetic value. Well you probably put it better. Kurt's design is like a fine painting, but on a Valk, it's kinda out of place. But yep, you can't deny that it was very artful. Edited February 11, 2008 by kensei
danth Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 The second one is a work of art. The first one, not really. You totally pulled a Borat.
Knight26 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 As the owner of that 1:48 Tiger Meet VF-1D, I can say I love it to death
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 The VF-1A had its share of repaints in the 1/48 line, but I think the VF-1D should recieve more repaints in the 1/60 line. I like the design a lot.
miriya Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Definitely! I hope they make a VF-1D virgin Road with Max and Milia in Wedding garb as the little figure pilots! That would be DOPE!!!!
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Yamato could easily develope a special release like a 1D with 1S head. Cool.
TheLoneWolf Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 The VF-1A had its share of repaints in the 1/48 line, but I think the VF-1D should recieve more repaints in the 1/60 line. I like the design a lot. Since this line is going to be cheaper than the 1/48's I can see Yamato milking the D mold with the orange and Virgin Road variants.
charger69 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 (edited) Somebody in rshare loves MACROSS!! Edited February 13, 2008 by charger69
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 What the hell does that have to do with the new toy? Anyways hope Wonderfest gives us new pics of the toy. Everyone is excited for the YF-21, but this one's got my mind anticipating.

I think it's pretty cool that the verification code was VF1S...do you have any idea what the odds are against something like that? -Kyp

Then four characters in the captcha code. The odds would be (1/35)^4. That's a 1/1,500,625 chance...of it happening to you on any given occasion. The chances it happening eventually on the internet with, millions of people seeing captcha codes every day, are much higher. God I hope my math is right.
Sundown Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I would think it happening to someone who actually cares or knows what a VF1S is would be pretty small. But I suppose it'd happen eventually.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Yea but talk about throwing things off topic, again after Dangard Ace's numerous warnings. Anyways I hope the FAST packs come with the valk and that we see a ton of color shots from Winter Wonderfest.

Anyways I hope the FAST packs come with the valk and that we see a ton of color shots from Winter Wonderfest. Since charger69 has hooked us up with so many new pictures, I think this member has earned a couple of passes to go off topic. Besides, when there's new pics, I'm sure this member will be one of, if not the first to give us what we want. So, which 1/60 scale two-seater are we going to get first?
miriya Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 So, which 1/60 scale two-seater are we going to get first? I personally am hoping for the VF-1D (orange and tan version) with Hikaru in orange civilian flightsuit and minmei backseat!
Kyp Durron Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I'm betting we'll see the 1D first myself, but that's just my wishful thinking, lol. -Kyp
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 VF-1D, want that before the VT-1. Only coz i couldn't care much of batroid mode for either VT-1 or teh VE-1. Atleast with the 1D all modes will be put to GOOD use.

miriya Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 (edited) I'd like a smashed building in 1/60 scale to go with the VF-1D battroid. Great idea. I bet you that one of those 1/72 battle ruin dioramas would work great! LINK LINK Maybe Kitbash a couple of these and add some rubble? Edited February 14, 2008 by miriya
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 (edited) I'm getting my diorama displays from my local petshops (fish tank stuff) Awesome forest and ruin crafts perfect for miniture background settings and for placing 1/60 Valks and the up'n'coming MHouse Ride Armours around. Not too expensive. Again, i'll post pics... some year! Edited February 14, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Just for fun - http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?range=descrip...p;GenreCode=All Original line of 1/60's quick reference.
Vermillion21 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 So, which 1/60 scale two-seater are we going to get first? It'll probably be the VF-1D like most others have said, but I'm hoping for the Elintseeker ...
warpaint22 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 It'll probably be the VF-1D like most others have said, but I'm hoping for the Elintseeker ... Yes..yes the VE-1 that would be cool or the VT-1. Both even better.
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 I'd even love to see a Platypus made. I'm a sucker for odd mecha, that's why I like the Elint so much. I skipped on the old 1/60 because of the parts not being removable and the swapping legs, but always hoped for a big 1/48 with all the details. Now I can't wait for the 1/60.
Kyp Durron Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Yes..yes the VE-1 that would be cool or the VT-1. Both even better. I'm quite confident that we'll see the 1D, VT-1, and VE-1, it's just a matter of what gets made first and when. My two favorites are the 1D and VT-1. As for the VE-1, I like the TV version better, but that's just me. -Kyp
