badboy00z Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I just found out this program at the LEGO website. I was so stoked because I never knew this existed. Lol. Now you can create your own models with LEGO on your computer, upload it to the website and actually buy your own model. How cool is that? Lol. LEGO Factory Quote
M'Kyuun Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I just found out this program at the LEGO website. I was so stoked because I never knew this existed. Lol. Now you can create your own models with LEGO on your computer, upload it to the website and actually buy your own model. How cool is that? Lol. LEGO Factory Actually, I believe the program was developed in 2005, and the current version is a far superior upgrade. The limited parts pallette is really the only drawback, and the interface between parts, i.e. positioning parts on the model, can be frustrating. One needs to manipulate the model a great deal at times to look for the "sweet spot", but it is still much better than the previous version. I created a model and bought it. The parts came in a single bag with an inventory list. The program also lets you choose among a series of background graphics to decorate the front of the box. The box has a plastic window so that the graphic shows through. It's a nice feature, and it's cool to receive a LEGO set that you've designed. The instructions do not come with the model; they are created automatically by the program, and can be printed out, or just viewed step by step or as a movie online. Quote
wwwmwww Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 (edited) Nice. I'll have to look into this. This thread reminds me on one of my all time favorite Lego models. I did some hunting for the gerwalk picture but all I could find was this: Anyone else have the gerwalk pic? There are several old threads about this lego model here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13591 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13158 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=8294 Sadly, most of the links to pictures are broken.
