HoveringCheesecake Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Very refreshing considering our fighters are typically all grey. Quote
big F Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Nice makes a change from Grey with Grey Quote
redfinger61 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 The paint's literally only been on for a week. I was thinking of a similar design for a low-vis VF-1A w/ fast packs....thought it would look cool. Ashton Quote
dizman Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Wow, very nice look for the F-16. Only a week old huh, cool. Quote
mojacko Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 like the camo pattern.....very refreshing indeed!!! Quote
ce25254 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I think that subsequent versions of "Arctic Camo" will probably need to include some brown, and maybe green, considering the rapidly melting ice cap. (I do like the colors.) Quote
ce25254 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 It looks like this is the 18th Fighter Squadron at Eielson AFB? http://www.eielson.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123078701 Quote
Excillon Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I've got a spare hasegawa VF-1J fighter kit (sorry it's not that special). I'll give it a shot, worse case scenario I spend a day removing paint. Any chance of getting better views of the top and bottom of the aircraft? I've got a Battroid kit as well, but that might be a challenge. Quote
warpaint22 Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I'd love to see a Dobber style SV-51 in those colours, arctic camo rocks. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted December 14, 2007 Author Posted December 14, 2007 Twobobs is making decals, once they're out there'll be full painting diagrams. http://twobobs.net/ Almost done: http://twobobs.net/Newsletter/48-158.jpg 32nd, 48th, and 72 scale coming. Quote
Wicked Ace Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Twobobs is making decals, once they're out there'll be full painting diagrams. http://twobobs.net/ Almost done: http://twobobs.net/Newsletter/48-158.jpg 32nd, 48th, and 72 scale coming. The decals with the color split will be a big help to those wanting to make a faithful variable fighter rendition. Quote
Excillon Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 OK, I'm torn, help me decide. I have a 1A/1J battroid kit, and a 1J fighter. Which should I do? I have another project for one of them, and while I want to do a fighter, I can't help but think this scheme screams Battroid in terms of coolness factor. Quote
Excillon Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Can someone who can photoshop put this on a super 1J battroid for me, and a 1J valk? Something I can use for a reference. Quote
MechTech Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Thanks Dave for sharin'. I though I saw that news article a while back too. Much better than sleepy ole' grey on grey. - MT Quote
