SuperHobo Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Doesn't look like it to me. Yup it looks more like perfect transformation and considering its size it looks pretty decent so far for the prototype. However I want some truly final official pictures of the DX 1/60!
badboy00z Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 (edited) The 1/100 should be fun to play with. Edited August 22, 2008 by badboy00z
SuperHobo Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Wait...is the white one the toy or is that the model? Looks like the model to me. Were talking about the little grey prototype picture on the bottom of the model picture.
DarkReaper Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Yeah, I guess I will get Ozma as 1/60, Alto and Michel as 1/72 and maybe Luca if hes super cheap as 1/100. But let's first see what the available add-ons are and if they are making any other mecha, like the VF-27, or VF-171 (Bandai please!), or heaven forbid the Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder.
SuperHobo Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Big Mac and a quarter pounder is truly heaven on a bun. An expensive bun that is.
Graham Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Attached is a scan from the new October 2008 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine of the upcoming 1/100 scale VF-25. Nothing new really, same pics as in this month's Hobby Japan magazine. Graham
Hiriyu Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) Here's another scan by way of Toys Daily. I'm not sure if this is a new one to the board here. *Edit - Whoops, that's the 1/72 model. Sorry folks, my bad. Attachment removed * Edited August 25, 2008 by Hiriyu
Renato Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) Attached is a scan from the new October 2008 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine of the upcoming 1/100 scale VF-25. Nothing new really, same pics as in this month's Hobby Japan magazine. Graham Interestingly, the accompanying text states that this figure will be the first in a line of 1/100 scale Macross valkyrie toys by Bandai. Huzzah! Affordable (I hope) valks! Is this news? EDIT -- Forgot one detail: PARTS-SWAPPING CONFIRMED FOR THIS ONE. Edited August 25, 2008 by Renato
Graham Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Thanks for the translation Renato. Interesting news. I wonder if the 1/100 line will just cover Frontier VFs or VFs from all series? Hopefully, we will get a 1/100 VF-171. Parts swapping, not so good news, but not surprising as the line was initially announced as bing "simple transformation". Graham
Renato Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 They mention that it will feature Valkyries of the various generations, so I'm expecting lots of cool stuff, VF-4, VF-17.. Whoohoo! But every time I get my hopes up too high...
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Would prefer PT. but........ these are good for space-limited people. I'm most likely to get the 1/72 or 1/60.
Twoducks Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Parts swapping = no buy. Hey, if they do a VF-4 or a VF-17 they can swap all the hell they want.
Necron_99 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 ^^ I'm going to have to agree with you on that. I've been waiting for a VF-4 for YEARS A VF-17 would be nice, too!
Renato Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Yay, I'm not the only one. OK, Bandai, quit yer ball-droppin' and get those VF-4's and 17's poppin'!! And if the next 1/100 is announced to be another VF-1 I'm gonna slap some executives silly.
Kyp Durron Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I've placed my preorder with Overdrive for the 1/60 Ozma VF-25. The next three months of waiting will be Hell... -Kyp
eriku Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 A VF-17 would be nice, too! This is the one I'm most eagerly wishing and hoping and crossing my appendages for, even though I do really like the old chunky one.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Yay, I'm not the only one. OK, Bandai, quit yer ball-droppin' and get those VF-4's and 17's poppin'!! YES! AND A VF-3000 ALONG WITH VF-171!!! The 17 and its derivatives are sexy. The 3000...god damn..that thing just rules.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 PARTS-SWAPPING CONFIRMED FOR THIS ONE. DARTH VADER TIME!!!.... "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Damn it, I hope the parts swapping is just relegated to either the landing gear and landing gear door blocks, or minimal parts swapping, as in part swapped goes somewhere on the toy, without going loose, that way there are no parts to lose. They mention that it will feature Valkyries of the various generations, so I'm expecting lots of cool stuff, VF-4, VF-17.. Whoohoo! But every time I get my hopes up too high... VF-19SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Materials mentioned are ABS, PVC, and POM.
Master Dex Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 DARTH VADER TIME!!!.... "DO NOT WAAAANNNTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Yeah, same feelings, but I wasn't planning on getting 1/100s much anyway.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Yeah, same feelings, but I wasn't planning on getting 1/100s much anyway If they are like Toynami's 1/100 line, as in not needing parts swapping to transform, then I may pick some up. At 1/100 the VF-25 is still a good size, bigger than most people think.
danth Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I would absolutely love a line of quality 1/100 Macross toys, with perfect-transformation valks and regults and destroids. That said, I have no interest in a line of parts-formers.
David Hingtgen Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I don't care HOW it transforms, so long as it looks good in both important modes, if we get valks we'd otherwise have almost no change of getting otherwise---VF-11MAXL, VF-5000, VF-4, etc.
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) I don't care HOW it transforms, so long as it looks good in both important modes, if we get valks we'd otherwise have almost no change of getting otherwise---VF-11MAXL, VF-5000, VF-4, etc. I do. Look how good the vf-0 turned out even though it was a large PT toy? But yeah at that size it's a bit much to ask for PT. so er... When is megahouse (owned by bandai)going to give us a 1/100 mospeada perfect transforming legioss and Tread? hehe Edited August 26, 2008 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker
Kyp Durron Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I don't care HOW it transforms, so long as it looks good in both important modes, if we get valks we'd otherwise have almost no change of getting otherwise---VF-11MAXL, VF-5000, VF-4, etc. And I don't care how it transforms as long as all 3 modes look good. -Kyp
pochimus prime Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 And I don't care how it transforms as long as all 3 modes look good. -Kyp And I don't care period  I do care about the 1/60's though. No news about them?
Sumdumgai Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I'll have to see what they mean by parts swapping. If it's plug-in landing gear, but no parts removing to transform, I can live with that. If it's parts-swapping like the old 1/100 VF-0 prototype = no buy. Same goes for other previous generation valkyries. VF-4 with parts-swap = no buy. And I want a VF-4 really bad!
Kyp Durron Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 And I don't care period  I do care about the 1/60's though. No news about them? The 1/60's fighter mode better look good and the other modes better at least be decent seeing as I've already paid for my Ozma version. -Kyp
Graham Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 And if the next 1/100 is announced to be another VF-1 I'm gonna slap some executives silly. Ditto. Last thing we need is yet another VF-1 toy, when there are so many other interesting VFs that need making. Graham
eriku Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Even though I'm really curious to see what Bandai could do with the VF-1...yeah, I'd rather have something new. Especially when the new 1/60 Yammie is so nice.
twich Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 So, has there been any sort of word yet as to whether the 1/60 Bandai VF-25's will include Super/Armored packs or will they just be plain and the super/armored packs sold separately? Also, I wonder how they will do the specialized supper parts for the Michael/Luca VF-25's.. Thanks! Twich
Godzilla Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Thanks for the translation Renato. Interesting news. I wonder if the 1/100 line will just cover Frontier VFs or VFs from all series? Hopefully, we will get a 1/100 VF-171. Parts swapping, not so good news, but not surprising as the line was initially announced as bing "simple transformation". Graham Well that would be cool since we do have a yamato 1/100 scale VB-6 Monster to put it against. So anything on Vajra mecha coming out?
DarkReaper Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 A line of good quality 1/100 toys would be sweet. There is just not enough space in my room to display all those random valks in 1/60 size, at least not without staggering them and quickly ending in total chaos. It's cheaper to boot.
Black Valkyrie Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 If Bandai wanna make other 1/100 VF from the other series ... Please VF-19S.
