gian7675 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Just wondering, why are there no re-paints of the 19 up to now? The SV-51 has 3 already namely Ivanov, Nora and the CF. I'm still hoping for the VF-19 Excalibur paint job (this is the blue one right? ) How was the sale of the YF-19 anyway? Dismal? Is this the reason why there are no re-paints? Quote

Wicked Ace Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I'm really hoping for a VF-X Ravens scheme. Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I'm really hoping for a VF-X Ravens scheme. That would be awesome. I wonder if Yamato decided to go ahead and make the Supernova repaints, those were very nice too. Quote
Jeremy007 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 yeah, id drop $200 on a supernova repaint in a heartbeat. Quote
badboy00z Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I like to see a VF-19 Excalibur too. Quote
Twoducks Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I'm still waiting for an orange supernova to get a YF-19. Quote
thankheaven Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I have never seen these, anyone got any links to the supernova or vf-x ravens colored 19 ? Quote

ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) Nice. I'd be intersted in getting a second 19 as a repaint. It's really hard for me to decide what to pose my 19 in, fighter or battroid, coz they are both so damn perect! I was almost gonna keep my pre-order with the 25th Black 19, which i still believe is so sweet as, but i needed funds for the Nora. THE NORA DAMN YOU! Edited November 27, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
VFTF1 Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I'd like a 19 remoulded into Bassara. VFTF1 Quote
thankheaven Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) VF-X Ravens scheme from VF-X2: Project Supernova schemes: Supernova Blue Supernova Blue Battroid Supernova Orange Thanks, both the blue and the orange supernova 19 look great. It would be nice to get a different fastpack set if they would make the VF-19A, something like the FP's for the 19S: Also a stealth YF-19 would be nice Edited November 27, 2007 by thankheaven Quote
Godzilla Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 How about a low vis grey scheme? I would dig that. Quote
dizman Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 If Yamato decided to do the Orange Supernova scheme then I would buy that, I hope it would come with the parachute launcher as well. Also i would buy a low vis scheme if it was like the low vis 1 for the Vf-1. Quote
Graham Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I'd like a 19 remoulded into Bassara. VFTF1 That would require 95% all new tooling, basically it's a completely different toy and would be a big investment for Yamato. Graham Quote
Graham Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I'm really hoping for a VF-X Ravens scheme. Not sure, but there may be a licensing issue regarding VF-X2 now. Perhaps Yamato didn't renew their license? I keep on trying to get the inside story, but they are a bit vague when I ask. Graham Quote

Graham Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I've been pushing for a Super Nova-ish scheme for ages now. I say 'Super Nova-ish', as Yamato don't own the rights to use the Super Nova scheme. I'm also pushing for a Low Vis YF-19. There are indications that both may eventually happen. Graham Quote
David Hingtgen Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Graham--the Super Nova schemes are clearly based on the F-15 prototype schemes (IMHO). Just have them do those. Though the Super Nova schemes have extra striping. Or hey--how about the ACTIVE scheme? That's awesome, and well-known in Japan. (It has to be, Namco puts it in every Ace Combat game from the past couple of years) Quote

Graham nice, keep up the good fight for more yf-19 love. Let us know if there's anything helpfull we as a fan base can do to show our support for yf-19 repaints. And by helpfull, I mean actually helpfull... not our usual form of helpfull... which is usually less than... Quote
Jeremy007 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 has yamato tried to acquire the rights the the supernova scheme? Quote
David Hingtgen Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I bet they could get the rights to Dobber's scheme pretty easily. Quote
jenius Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 (edited) I may be in the minority here but I think it'd be cool if Yamato repeated their non-canon schemes they did with the VF-1 with other toys. The display possibilities are pretty awesome. Sadly the non-canon schemes were on 1/48 toys and everything else is 1/60 so it's not the true awesomenitude (I have a degree in English, I'm allowed to invent words) it could be. EDIT - took out some racial humor at my own expense (kinda) Edited November 28, 2007 by jenius Quote

miriya Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 repaints, that's all we've been buying. the same product of a different color. make something new yamato. I can repaint the stuff myself as a custom! I too would like to see new stuff but for me, I am not a modeler so I can not paint them myself and personally do appreciate the repaints. Sure too many repanits of the same mold does get old but for the YF-19 so far there is only the original and the 25th (which I do not like) so I think that they could get at least two more repaints out of this for us. Plus, for me the low-vis and/or supernova-ish scheme is more attractive to me than the OVA version. But of course to each their own. I am happy for you that you know how to paint and customize, that is a skill that I would love to learn one day. Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 The blue/white, and red/white colors of the F-20 Tigershark prototypes are great colors to base YF-19 repaints on, not to mention close to the Project SuperNova customs posted in the magazines. Quote

Phren Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 So they can't do the Supernova? A shame - I hope they put out something close enough for our decal/sticker resident experts to make up most of the difference. Quote

Wicked Ace Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I didn't want to start a whole new thread for my VF-X license question. Hopefully Graham or some other member in-the-know can/will shed some light on this. Quote
