IIymij Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 they dont look very agile in my opinion, i think the revoltechs look more posesible. Quote
crasis Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I love the pricepoint and all Macross Plus mecha, so these 3 shall be mine! Yeah, they won't be able to do crazy ninja stunts like my Revoltechs, but Valks aren't super robots to begin with. Quote
Mr March Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I'm very curious about the articulation. I'll be waiting to see what these figures can do. Quote
miriya Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) I would doubt that they would have the articulation and poseablility of the revoltechs. I am impressed by the poses in these pre production pics already. Of the three I like the sculpt on the YF-21 the best, then the VF-11b, and lastly the YF-19. I still think that the YF-19 is a bit too chubby in parts. Still it is good enough for me and cheaper than a 1/60 transforming one (which I still really want but still cant afford or prioritize for). Overall still very excited about these and now especially the YF-21 which was a design that I originally did not care much for. This one is great! Edit for insanity. Thanks ruskiiVFaussie! TheLoneWolf Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 New Pictures: YF-19 YF-21 VF-11B Is there a public link for those images you posted? Or did you find them by browsing the viewzoom directory? Quote
miriya Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 ohhhh, what is the viewzoom directory? I want in! Quote
bandit29 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Those toys look alright I guess. I'd probably buy them. So is there any truth to Kaiyodo not producing anymore Macross Revoltechs? Is this because of HG/Toynami's meddling again? Ugh I wish they'd just go away Quote
miriya Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I was really hoping for a revoltech VF-4, VF-1D, Yf-19, VF-5000, YF-21, and so on and so forth. Sad they did not make it past the VF-1 but hopefully this is all just bad rumors. Quote
lechuck Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Looking OK, I'll reserve final judgment until I see a factory produced version. The YF-19 actually has better knee articulation than its bigger brethren and notice no canard wings on the toy. Oh and shouldn't the gullet part under the nose cone be painted differently? Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 ohhhh, what is the viewzoom directory? I want in! If you're familiar with HTML, the viewzoom directory is the place where Yamato's website stores all of its high res images. Within this directory are also images that the public website lists as "Coming Soon," meaning that we (the public) are not supposed to be seeing these images yet. charger69 is linking directly to those images in his post. If Yamato's webmaster notices that these images are getting dozens of hits despite the fact that they're not listed publically, he or she may restrict direct linking to that folder, thus depriving us of high-res sneak peaks in the future. Rather than linking directly to Yamato's viewzoom directory, it'd be a better idea to include them as attachments within a post. Quote
wolfx Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Nice big gunpods. And un-smooth surface i guess due to prototyping. Hope to see production shots. Quote

miriya Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Sorry if this was already mentioned... When are these going to be released? Quote
sidearmsalpha Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 The YF-19 looks pretty chunky. I was hoping these would be more detailed. Here's what I was hopng for, but oh well... Quote
jenius Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 The 21's gun looks.. out of place. They went for a slick stylized 21 with a gun that looks more like it'd go better with a brawny sculpt like the one shown on the 19. Quote

They went for a slick stylized 21 with a gun that looks more like it'd go better with a brawny sculpt like the one shown on the 19. These are not the GNu line from Yamato This YF-19 has thicker upper arms and no movable knee joints. Look at the previous pictures and you'll see the differences. Quote
miriya Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 The YF-19 looks pretty chunky. I was hoping these would be more detailed. Here's what I was hopng for, but oh well... What are these ones? Who's models are they? Thanks for the pics. Quote
sidearmsalpha Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 What are these ones? Who's models are they? Thanks for the pics. I think the highly-stylized -19 and -21 are Wave kits. Not sure who made the other -19, but I think it was a kit, too. I hope Kaiyodo puts out Revoltech Macross Plus figures that are more dynamic looking like these. Or, better yet, if these are Wave kits, it would be cool to see Wave put out figures based on these. Wave does nice PVC character figures, so even if they weren't poseable, they would still look nice. Quote
miriya Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Can someone translate this page to tell us when they will be released? Thanks. Quote
Sumdumgai Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 YF-19, YF-21, and VF-11B in May. At least according to the individual pages concerning those battroids. Well it's written: 2008年5月 I can't read it, but it sure as hell looks like a date. Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 The YF-19 looks pretty chunky. I was hoping these would be more detailed. Here's what I was hopng for, but oh well... Damn, the legs on the YF-21 are very long! Interesting, to say the least. I might have to pick up a set just for fun. Quote
sqidd Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Those suckers look sweeeeet! I like how chunky they are. Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 For a non-transformable mecha, the sculpt is average. The posability appears to be slightly above average, but nowhere near the Revoltechs. It's a good effort on Yamato's part, but I would've been more excited if we didn't already have transforming versions of these toys. Quote
Fly4victory Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I know that I am sick but is anyone else looking at the YF-21 and thinking with a few cuts it will be possible make a gerwalk and flighter??? Quote
SuperHobo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Looking at what Yamato is presenting in that little figure line-up it makes me wonder if there going to go all out and make high quality versions of say the Baxinger or the GoShogun. We know the chance of a 1/60 VF-11B is likely, but I think it would be awesome to see a highly detailed Baxinger toy as well. It also looks like Yamato will be including Dancouga and Dancouga Nova in this line up of figures as well. Quote
