JValk
Kubo, otherwise known as the OtaKing in the infamous Gainax mockumentaries "Otaku No Video" from 1982 and 1985, used to be a normal University kid doing normal things. What was the name of his University tennis club? I think the name of the university was Waseda, but that's not the name of the club. ---- Oh, and here's an interesting tidbit I found while looking for things to quiz - "the classic "Choo Jikuu Yoosai Macross" (Super Dimension Fortress Macross) TV series. The key animator whose mecha sequences are so good, is Anno Hideaki, later to become one of Gainax's top men. He also designed the Kyoshinhei (Giant God Warriors) for Miyazaki Hayao's "Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa" (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind). Valkyrie Hunter D
Name the slightly warped OAV from which this litany comes from: "The sky, the earth, and the pager have called! Summoning the high school babe, the greatest warrior maiden, ***** ******!" (name has been blanked out so as not to give away the answer) If you were big into anime during the early 90's the quote should ring a bell... UN Spacy
what jobs did the last three tachikoma have in ghost in the shell: stand alone complex? 1. Batou's Tachikoma (with the antenna and missle launcher) worked at a retirement home taking care of the elderly 2. The second Tachikoma did construction bot (hence all the yellow and black markings) 3. The third Tachikoma ended up as an automated assembly line bot (hence all the plugs and outlets) They ALL fought like true Section 9'ers during Episode 25. JELEINEN
"The sky, the earth, and the pager have called! Summoning the high school babe, the greatest warrior maiden, ***** ******!" (name has been blanked out so as not to give away the answer) That makes about the fourth different way I've seen that line translated. No major differences between any of them, but enough to be noticable.
