Major Focker
looking for 1/100 Monster to place in a 1/100 Macross Factory. however, i don't fancy the yamato version which i thought lacked detail. i don't mind if it's a model kit. were there any monsters that were put out in 1/100 toy or model? if not, what's the closest scale and most detailed? thanks! Sumdumgai
MKII Destroid Monster? Or VB-6 Koenig Monster? Yamato's the only deal, as far as I know, for the Koenig Monster. If it's a Destroid Monster I think you may be out of luck. There's the old takatoku 1/240 Destroid Monster.

nightmareB4macross
Actually there is an old model of the 1/100 VB-6 Monster, I can't recall the name of the company who produced it, but that particular model is the basis of the 1/100 VB-6 Monster produced by Yamato. This model is uber-rare, and a couple of years ago there was an attempt to recast the model for members here on MW. Do a search for it and you'll get a bit of history on this. There is also a HWR-MK-II Monster in 1/160, being the biggest model produced by Imai. Usually these go for about $200.00 plus on ebay. Then there is the 1/200 being the next in line. Good luck. Major Focker
thanks guys. pursuing nb4m's lead on "recast" i managed to find a 1/144 resin version available on a couple of sites (original was supposedly by yellow sub). these bad boys sure are expensive though! still haven't found that old thread on a 1/100 monster recast that nb4m mentioned, so any links would be appreciated. The only 1/100 monster (in either kit or toy) is the Konig Monster I believe. I have a recast of the 1/144 Monster, and it will require a good deal of cleanup. To be expected with a recast of a garage kit, but if you track one down, know what you're getting into (it's no Hasegawa). Monster kits/toys that I know about that are attainable: 1/240 diecast 1/200 imai 1/160 arii 1/144 resin

Major Focker
ah! there it is! thanks! looking at the pictures though, i think it is beyond my skill to build considering the required clean up and adjustments for this particular recast. i'll probably go look for the 1/144 or 1/160 then.
