VF-2SS-BloodPhoenix Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Not sure if this has been discussed here, but I thought I'd share these. I built these 9 kits in about a week. Finall finished them all this past Monday. Worked on them everyday nonstop, obsessively . They're all stock, nothing was customized or painted. Photos aren't the best, but still, check'em out: NX01 Rayleonard 03-AALIYAH Work in progress: PART - 01 | PART - 02 | PART - 03 | PART - 04 | PART - 05 | PART - 06 | PART - 07 PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-002 Crest CR-C90U3 PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-001 Mirage C01-GAEA PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-003 Mirage C05-SELENA PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-007 Crest CR-C840UL PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-002 Crest CR-C90U3 Blue Version PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-006 Crest CR-C75U2 PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-004 Mirage YC07-CRONUS Vixen_Version PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 AC-003 Mirage C05-SELENA Metallic Version PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 | PHOTO - 04 Some more photos of all 9 ACs: PHOTO - 01 | PHOTO - 02 | PHOTO - 03 Scale comparison: PHOTO - 04 Quote
VF-2SS-BloodPhoenix Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 ShadowerV2, Thanks. Building these kits were quite addicting, I couldn't stop myself and once started, I had to finish it . I'm looking forward to the new kits that are coming out . Quote
Aegis! Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 awesome! I´ve always been a fan of Kawamori AC designs. Now, where can I get these and how much for them !? Quote
VF-2SS-BloodPhoenix Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 (edited) awesome! I´ve always been a fan of Kawamori AC designs. Now, where can I get these and how much for them !? I bought them all from HLJ. Here is the link: Armored Core injection model kits I'm sure you can find some other online retailers that carry them too. The thing that really impressed me was how detailed these models are. I'm not a big fan of the AC games, but I can certainly appreciate a well designed modern robot . Another nice feature is that you can swap parts around (head, torso, arms, legs, weapons). The scale is also perfect. I'm really digging these robots! Valkyrie Hunter D Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Cool, I've always wanted to see these kits unpainted-they don't look too bad. The Selena looks nice; I always did like the AC heavies. Too bad Koto doesn't have any love for the 4-leggers. Quote
kung flu Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I've got a few of the Action figures that came out a few years ago. I was thinking of getting the models, but wasn't sure if they are in the same scale. Seeing your pictures has made up my mind, are these kits snap fit and pre-coloured? I'm just too lazy to glue and paint these days, not that I was any good at it. Quote
ShadowerV2 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I just love those Selena Mechs. Nice and big. Quote

And a more diverse selection of robots would be welcomed . I've got a few of the Action figures that came out a few years ago. I'm just too lazy to glue and paint these days, not that I was any good at it. I bought one of those action figures too. They're of lesser quality, I think, made of soft PVC and a bit too heavy to hold some poses. The action figures are the same scale as these model kits. The model kits are pre-colored, no painting required unless you want to customize them personally. They're all snap fit, and only a few parts will require glue, mostly the extremely tiny parts. I didn't use model glue on those tiny parts because that type of glue is always a messy experience. I used another sticky substance that doesn't run off but is sticky enough and clean enough to work with. As far as being lazy, well, I had a rush building these kits . Quote
