DarrinG Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Know this is an old release - but I finally picked up a Bandai SPEC Dragonar Opening Sihouette. Also have the limited release SPEC 'Dragoon' on the way too, which brings my line up to 6. What a great piece, and can be had at great prices now. Can't say it better than Colection DX if someone wants to read more: ( - *sigh* spec line - wish you had lasted - ) http://www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/2007/dragonar_1_quotopening_sihouettequot Quote
DarrinG Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 HOLY HECK! I not only thought this was vapor-ware --- I thought the whole SPEC line was dead. This showed up on eBay pre-order this morning, but nothing on Yahoo Japan? Strange. Anyway - the world will get the really UNIQUE Gilgazamune after all . . . Quote

DarrinG Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Was surprised to see on eBay that the Dragonar SPEC Custom D1 was getting a re-release. Was EVEN MORE surprised to see the pre-orders at $56 !! ERROR - they are all down now. Hope someone bought before they realized! There were like 3 or 4 listings. But this seller on Yahoo is starting off darn low too: https://www.rinkya.com/en/auction-h189799466 Quote
DarrinG Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Wait - there is one of those pre-orders back up - am I wrong? Doesn't this seem overly cheap? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pre-Order-09-14-Robot-Spirits-Side-MA-Metal-Armor-Dragonar-1-Custom-Bandai-/111390345722?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19ef61c9fa Quote

DarrinG Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Whoops - If I would just READ IT! OK - I had no idea they were going to do RS Dragonars - now I know . . . Quote
Major Tom Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) Venturous Mix will be making new Dragonar figures: http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-2/%E9%A6%99%E6%B8%AF%E7%86%B1%E8%A1%80%E6%A8%A1%E5%9E%8B%E5%B8%AB%E8%A8%AD%E8%A8%88%E7%9A%84%E6%A9%9F%E7%94%B2%E6%88%B0%E8%A8%98%E5%A8%81%E9%BE%8D%E7%B3%BB%E5%88%97%E9%A6%96%E8%BE%A6%E9%80%B2%E8%BB%8D/ Edited August 18, 2014 by Major Tom Quote
DarrinG Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 They look good. Bandai SPEC will be hard to beat tho. Never heard of Tag HOBBY. Hope they have that panel lined look as shown in the photos . . . ( lit up from inside? ) Quote
lechuck Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I was excited, then I went to the site and saw 1/144 scale... meh Quote
VF-15 Banshee Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I REALLY want to watch Dragonar, but I can't find it anywhere... Quote
DarrinG Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Upcoming RS extreme take on Dragonar 2: Interesting, but I'll pass. I prefer the SPEC design here, which improved the actual line art by a good bit as it is and has lots of diecast . . . Quote
DarrinG Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 So let me get this straight -- You can get an all plastic RS version for $125 --- http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=BAN16399&mode=retail OR A half die-cast version with awesome packaging for $115 --- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bandai-Chogokin-Spec-XS-11-XFMA-09-Draguna-Falguen-JP-/351375603726?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51cf9e380e ?? The SPEC version is an AMAZING piece. Not sure what appeal the RS has other than for completists . . . Quote

lechuck Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Seems to have gone unnoticed, just realised that Bandai is doing Hi-Metal R for Dragonar! Â Quote

Big s Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 That’s an unexpected hg kit. The exclusives have been pretty interesting lately, especially for non Gundam releases Quote
Beltane70 Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 I bought a 1/100 Dragonar kit 30 years ago that I still haven’t built, but I’m still definitely interested in this kit. Quote
lechuck Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Looks good, but very clever of Bandai to make it 1/144 scale, as in not to infringe too much on their HMR releases. Quote

I think the old 1/144 kits are actually more show-accurate. It's a bit tempting to get this to compare with the original, but I've already got way too many kits... Quote

Big s Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 I hope they do more than just the hero kits and do some of the cool bad guy designs. We barely get the falguen in these lines Quote
Duymon Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 I hope this is popular enough to get the powered up versions of the trio as wel as the mass production units. Would go nuts if they have Giganos suff like Gwei, Gan Dolla and Deinz Quote
Big s Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 A lot of the grunt designs for giganos are some of my favorites. I didn’t think they’ll do all those, but I can always hope. I’m kinda surprised they went hg instead of minipla Quote
Big s Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 The d1 kit is up for preorder. Got mine from bbts Quote
Bobby Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Thanks for the heads up ... just placed mine with galactic toys Quote
Big s Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 A lot of the old 1/144 kits are getting re released as four packs. They’re pretty cheap and some really don’t look that bad. I may pick up the basic set for the baddies Quote
Big s Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Looks like moderoid is doing a Dragonar kit as well. Saw these on taghobby. I really liked the hg kit that Bandai did recently, but knowing Bandai, that may be the only kit they do from the line. If Moderoid does more than just the Dragonar 01, I’ll probably buy into them Quote

Aside from the usual candidates, a Falguen and Gilgazamune would be great to have. But with the three HMR Dragonars being very good representations, I find it difficult to get excited about model kits now. Quote
Big s Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Unfortunately p-Bandai, but a Dragonar-3 kit to go with the first one from a while back Quote
lechuck Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Sentinel RIOBOT Dragonar 1 Custom Eventhough I am quite happy with Bandai's HMR, I don't think I can say "no" to this. More images here: Quote
