Agent-GHQ
Since we won't be getting the VT-1 Super-O and VE-1 Elint in 1/48, I think Yamato should bring out the DYRL Minmay's Guard 1/48. That should not be any trouble since its just a recolor of the same mold. What is everyone's prediction?
MasterOfPuppets
So what's the origin of this paint scheme? It's not canon is it? Anyone have a picture?
warpaint22
Hell yes!!! I'll have one of those. I would have prefered this than the current 25th anniversary 1S. IMO would be the best alt paint scheme they could do. Edited September 4, 2007 by warpaint22
Dante74
So what's the origin of this paint scheme? It's not canon is it? Anyone have a picture? It was originally a Hasegawa kit so it's non-canon.

warpaint22
This is some pic's of my 1/72 Minmay Guard Paris, I thinks this scheme also would look great on a yammie 1/48. Seen the customs in the gallary they look awesome, love a boxed version straight from the yamato factory.
rowlund
Canon or non-canon, if it's a 1/48 vf-1, I'm always game!
Mowe
I love to have one since I can't afford the custom ones. The only trouble is they will have to issue that as a strike pack, meaning the market size is limited? big F
It would be nice to see one oficially made but I doubt they will bother.
wolfx
And also Hasegawa owns the design.....so Yamato would have to get the rights from Hasegawa before making it. Chances of it happening are very low.
miriya
I would get it if yamato made it. It is a beautiful design.

miriya
Moon act or Paris act? Which one is better? At first I liked the moon act the best and especially with that great decal of minmei Valkyrie but after seeing that one custom 1/48 yammie that was done in the paris act scheme (sorry cant find the thread) I fell in love with that. If yamato did do a minmei guard scheme which one would they pick?
Sumdumgai
I prefer the Paris act one. I prefer blue, I like that depiction of Minmay better, and... Well, I lived in Paris for a few years, so I'm biased.
mister_e
I prefer the Paris Act version also, but would buy either (or both, hint hint) should Yamato choose to produce them
Macross73
they should have made these . I'd go for a couple of each.
Skull 001
they should have made these . I'd go for a couple of each. Didn't someone make a decal sheet for the 1/48 a long time ago for customs.
Macross73
yes Anasazi37 did . I think that they're still be made not sure. edit: place your order http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=23136 Edited September 4, 2007 by Macross73
wolfx
Well Yamato let Hasewage use the 25th anniversary designs for their latest kits, so I definitely think a Minmay Guard from Yamato is a possibility. Except the 25th Anniversary design isn't owned by Yamato. It was an official Big West scheme.
warpaint22
Well I'd get either if they where produced but the Moon concert is my fav. even though that I'm not over fussed on the pink but it works well with the design and if Yamato had to issue the fast packs in the kit all the better IMO. The moon act IMO has the better pic of Minmay all spacy where the Paris minmay pic is just a little plane to me and on the moon concert it also has the minmay doll which really relates to macross and the importance that music plays. Still would like on of these over the current 25th valks, they just don't do it for me and I really hate gold trimming just looks tacky IMO. They should do both that would settle any disputes on which is better.
emerson
Can someone remind me where the so-called "Moon Act" and "Paris Act" come from? Were these Flashback 2012 moments? Wow, I hadn't realized how long it's been since I actually sat down and watched any Macross.

I'm not sure which one is true, but both Minmay Guards were customs that hasagawa copied and made them into kits or customs by hasagawa. These never appeared anywhere. Zinjo
I'm not sure which one is true, but both Minmay Guards were customs that hasagawa copied and made them into kits or customs by hasagawa. These never appeared anywhere. The "Moon Party" concert was a custom Haseqawa kit. The "One Night In Paris" custom comes from a Model Graphix custom decal set made for Hasegawa kits. The color scheme and decals were featured in the October 2002 edition of the Magazine.

connor99
When I see YAMATO come out with 1/48 VF-1S DYRL MAX, maybe then I'll start hoping to get any of these design on a 1/48 valk !
wolfx
Personally I prefer the Moon act one as well. The valk looks more interesting in the strange colors.
nightmareB4macross
I think the Moon Act and the Paris Act would have been better suited as the 25th Anniversary Valkyries. BTW, why is the YF-19 a 25th Anniversary item. It came out far later in the series. It's like putting a vintage Apple computer with a G4 and calling them both vintage. Dante74
Probably because it's the only mold they haven't used for a repaint yet.
s001
That's a great paintscheme (the 'moon act' is the best) it looks killer even with those minmay-valk portraits on the legs. So, bring it on yamato!
