Well I got a "New" 1/48 Yamato VF-1J and I took it out of the box and noticed that one of the wings was turning yellow. Is there a way to get rid of that?

I guess I can use it as my display.

To my knowledge, painting is the only way. On the brightside, it may come out better than the original. I wish I had a 1/48 in so so shape, so I could paint myself a stealth/Low viz vf-1s.

Unfortunatly, no. The yellowing you see is a chemical reaction to the UV radiation in sunlight and oxygen in the air. All you can do is cover it up with new paint.

I thought those guys at Yamato fixed the yellowing issue with teh 1/48 valks  the original 1/60 line suffered badly from yellowing mainly because of the use of lesser quality plastics and also the see-through poppy box design.
