masterqq Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Guys, Been working on the Destroid Defender for a while...man this old kit is really a seam feast kit... a lot of nasty seam to be tackle.. more later... Quote
Gabe Q Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 I've got that kit halfway built somewhere in my build pile. You're right, it is a seam fest. Good luck! Quote
MechTech Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Better you than me! That thing was a pain to build! It seems like I was sanding it for ages! - MT Quote
big F Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Awww you gotta love some of the old kits. All that sanding, wondering if you`ll sand right through the thing before the seam is gone. It`s a wonder any of us oldies bothered. Quote
masterqq Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 (edited) Thanks guys, more work done.. Construction completed, to ease the pain of seam fighting, especially on the legs, First I scrub the seam with the back of my N0. 11 blade, then I send it smooth, lastly I cover the whole surface by poking on the diluted Timaya putty, now this served as 2 purpose, first to cover the seam and as a bonus, it gave a sand casting like texture.... . basic painting is on, except the centre sensor housing... which will be painted next follow by decaling Edited August 8, 2007 by masterqq Quote
PetarB Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 You sure got rid of those seams! Nice work. Can't wait to see it finished. Quote
