Sorry, no schematics and no battroid back shots. However, here's some cleaned up images of the VF-14 Vampire from Macross M3 from MAHQ: http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/m3/vf-14.htm Quote
Sumdumgai Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 While it's not the same design as in M7, there's the Macross M3 VF-14 in the Macross Design Works book, which has a back shot in battroid. Quote
eugimon Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 hmm, the VF-14 pictured in the Macross Design Works looks different. Quote
Zinjo Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 (edited) hmm, the VF-14 pictured in the Macross Design Works looks different. Well the M3 design could be considered a "finished" design as opposed to the other sketch. The M3 design is heavily influenced by the VF-4 design. Edited August 3, 2007 by Zinjo Quote
eugimon Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 well, the battroid sketch pictured looks like a rough of the fz-109a. Granted, there are some differences, like the calf design and the symmetrical chest guns. But the fact that it even has the chest guns, plus the large bulky fore-arms makes it look more like the 109 and less like the vf-14. granted the vf-14 is clearly a derivation in design of the 109, but still, that sketch doesn't look like the vf-14. That is due to the fact that... Shoji Kawamori initially developed the Zorene series in 1990 for the Holy Zaibach Empire variable air attack craft of Knights in the Sky (later Military History of the Knighthood in the Sky), the parallel world project that eventually became The Vision of Escaflowne. Kawamori then extrapolated backwards from his and his partner Kazutake Miyatake's finalized Elgerzorene design for Macross 7 to create a rough VF-14 concept used in the Macross 7 P*L*U*S 7 segment "Spiritia Dreaming." Kawamori finalized the VF-14 design for Macross M3. http://macross.anime.net//mecha/united_nat...vf14/index.html Quote
