madcap386
My first post here, wanted to share my recent macross work.. Its an old arii kit... plenty of seams, thin plastic and lousy fittings.. Its handpainted finished with a flat topcoat... Took me quite a while, but finally its complete... The WIP can be found here: http://plamo.outthere.info/forum/showthread.php?tid=2470 Any comments are welcome so i can improve!

jardann
That's a great job on that old kit! The finish looks very fine. Did you modify the waist joint? Or is that the way the kit builds up? It just looks a little skinny/fragile to me for a combat machine.
astromanED
I never liked the kit, but you make it look so good. Terrific work, I love the subtle weathering.
madcap386
Thanks guys! Yeah hand painted.. The kit is actually pretty small.... and can be hand painted without any problems. This shows how big it is compared to a 1/100 Gundam.... Did you modify the waist joint? Or is that the way the kit builds up? It just looks a little skinny/fragile to me for a combat machine. Yeah, did a little mod on the waist joint for extra mobility. Hmm.. yeah, it does look abit skinny after the mod..

pfunk
Very nice, I think brushing adds the scale for a smaller model
