baronv Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 I was taking a look at the different Macross videos out there and saw that there's a "Macross 20th Anniversary DVD". What exactly is on this? Quote
UN Spacy Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 It's basically a rundown of the entire Macross legacy (just before the premiere of Macross Zero). It's divided into a timeline (which starts at SDF:Macross -> DYRL -> MII:LA -> M+ -> M7 -> M0). Snipets of commercials from DYRL, various OVA's) Video game vids such as Digital Mission VF-X, VF-X2, and DYRL (for Saturn). It's pretty much a MUST OWN for any Macross fan. B) Quote
Renato Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 I'll have to differ with the status quo, I don't feel that the DVD should have been released on its own in the way that it was. There is just not enough to guarantee a purchase unless you are REALLY a die-hard fan. It's basically a DVD of trailers and ads. I mean, you don't buy a DVD movie like Spiderman and then expect to pay for a bonus disc with featurettes as a separate purchase, do you? Had they re-released a 20th anniversary edition of DYRL with THIS as the bonus disc of special features, then I'd have hailed it as a great move by Bandai Visual, and a must-buy for anyone who is either a fan or who is just getting interested in Macross alike. (By the way, yes, I do own it, and yes, I am a huge fan.) Quote
