Hasegawa 1/72 scale VF-1J in Custom Royal Australian Air Force 75SQN colors.

Mods are the cut and extended flaps and airlerons, positioned rudders and WM CHeng's patented styrene gap fill method between the wings. Also the feet/legs were drilled out to accept the mounts for the stand.

I have yet to add the clear pieces to the wings and nose as I have placed 3 sets of clear parts somewhere very safe.

I think I used every shade of grey that Tamiya produce whilepainting this kit.

Nice I like Subtle colours. I also like the stand very much. Ive been thinking about making some custom stands for mine as I dont really like the Hasegawa ones (although I have two) and the clear ball jointed ones are not really me. Never though of putting the Valk on a stand like that. Nice one !!

Smooth work Berttt. Looks awesome. Mate I am 100% certain I'll be hitting you up for a how-to on those leading edge flaps, cause they look the business! :D

Love it.

Amazing custom, I wish there were more out there. The stand is wicked is there any more info on that? The pilot really stands out from the rest of the model (bright yellow) any chance getting some painting technique shots or close ups? Great model!

Awesome work. I love the stand as well, but am relaly liking the flaps. Has anyone thought of doing a resin upgrade set? I think itwould go over well.

Sorry to get off topic, definately nice work.

Thanks guys :)

I am away from home right now but when I get back I'll do what I can regarding more pics, close ups and some more info on the flaps.

I really love the paintjob & weathering. As for the stand, I think that using 1mm steel wire to connect the model to the base would have been more subtle. Plexiglass is really overated.
