kanedaestes Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 The tumbler is in this movie, they have already stated somewhere that they had made like 6 or 7 more for this movie. Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I heard that the Tumbler is destroyed in this movie Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Oh man, this bike kills! I love the Tumbler, but I'm a bike guy, so I took a photo of it and made my own "Tumbler Bike" in Photoshop. But this Batpod blows it out of the water. Quote
Fort Max Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 It looks loads better in that shot, I can see that it does actually have armour now. Quote
kanedaestes Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I read that Cillian Murphy has been spotted on the set over at superherohype.com Quote
Max Jenius Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 So far this movie reminds me of the ridiculous Kenner action figures that accompanied the first Batman movie by Tim Burton more than anything else. We'll see though... Begins ruled so I'll give it the benefit of a doubt. Quote
kanedaestes Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 (edited) I have complete faith in christopher nolan's abilities as a direct as he has never dissappointed me and all his movies are amazing. I am sure this one is sure to surprise everyone just like the last one did. With his batman everything has a purpose so i am sure there is a great reason for this batpod in the film and i am sure that when we see it in action everyone one who had an issue will be like "oh wow um nevermind this thing is cool as all hell." I remember when people were b***in about the tumbler and now it is like the greatest thing ever. Edited June 26, 2007 by kanedaestes Quote
Kurisama Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Well, the tumbler (so far) is still the same tumbler... but still, it is a cool batmobile! Saw some videos over at www.comingsoon.net, shows the joker too. Quote
drifand Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Late to the discussion, but does anyone think that the new-look Joker is perhaps, maybe, inspired by the psychotic gangster played by Tadanobu Asano in the cult film Ichi the Killer? If Heath Ledger plays Joker anything near as crazy as Tadanobu did, I'd be a happy camper! :-) Quote
UN Spacy Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 New TEASER is out. What does MW think? http://youtube.com/watch?v=PXXOhdtLge4 Quote
eugimon Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 (edited) I liked it, though, heath seems to be channeling dubya's voice for his take on joker though, I definitely like his joker laugh. suitable maniacal without being cartoonish. Edited July 27, 2007 by eugimon Quote
azrael Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 New TEASER is out. HD versions: http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=15813 And BTW....those people at ComiCon....watch out for Jokers. http://www.whysoserious.com/surveillance.aspx http://www.whysoserious.com/wannabes.aspx And for those of you who missed today's viral marketing : Quote
Sumdumgai Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 I hope he's a scary intense Joker. Already in the trailer he's creepy, and I like it! Quote
Max Jenius Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 I'm getting more optimistic. The Joker looks more like he ought to in that 2nd pic. Batsuit is still meh... as long as batman stays in the dark lol. Quote
Smiley424 Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Nice little teaser (saw on youtube, wasn't shown with my screening of Simpsons the Movie ) Didn't give away anything, but got me all excited about the movie. Quote
Knight26 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 More pictures are up, including the joker: grab 'em here Quote
Mr March Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Very nice! I love the new Batsuit. It's also great to see the Joker on screen again in his purple duds. It's been far too long. Quote
baronv Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Based on the photos, is the Joker's white face and red lips make-up instead of his skin being that way due to the chemical bath? I still wish they changed the gold utility belt to black or silver color to make it darker looking. Quote
Dobber Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Based on the photos, is the Joker's white face and red lips make-up instead of his skin being that way due to the chemical bath? I still wish they changed the gold utility belt to black or silver color to make it darker looking. Look like they did to me. Look at the crouching picture again, the belt looks (to mee) to be silverish possible steal or something. Chris Quote
azrael Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Look like they did to me. Look at the crouching picture again, the belt looks (to mee) to be silverish possible steal or something. Probably lighting and Photoshop. Just like how the batsuit in BB is black but looked dark grey in the movie and stills. I'm not going to worry about the batsuit. And yes, the Joker's "make-up" is make-up. I'm interested to see how Ledger's Joker turns out since it's somewhere in-between the original 1940s mass-murdering Joker and the Killing Joke Joker. Quote
Max Jenius Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 God, that batsuit is ugly. Cmoonnnnn good directing, make me forget the pain. Quote
bandit29 Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Ya know I really should go downtown(Chicago). They've been shooting here most of the summer. Reports are that Christian Bale is a pretty good guy. Most people here don't even know who he is lol. I'll just leave my wife at home.."oh he's so hot" whatever lol I like the new pics and costumes. Looking forward to this one. Quote
Knight26 Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 What's with all the the Batmans? Same question here. Quote
Veritas Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Same question here. Maybe a plot device by the Joker? Or even the Batman? Quote
Mr March Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 (edited) They're just stuntment, fellas. Thanks for the link to new pictures. Looking good! Edited August 24, 2007 by Mr March Quote
Wes Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Hahahaha, brilliant Given that so many super heroes have chest symbols, I assume someone invented the idea as a possible explanation and other writers adopted it. Whether or not Frank Miller was the first, I can't say for sure. I seem to recall this issue being covered in the old Punisher War Journal books, but I can't say for certain. Superman was probably the first, and he's set the mold in many ways. I'd figure the bigger reason for the lack of detail was back then they really didn't want to spend that much time drawning Batman if they didn't have to. His costume should be rationally stealthy, meaning features should be hidden not embellished. I saw the teaser at the theatures. Not bad but I still want Mark Hamill. Quote
Knight26 Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I don't think that they're all stuntmen given that they are not all wearing the same costume, the one in the rifle pictures is clearly wearing a costume from the other movie. And why would Batman be carrying a rifle? Quote
eugimon Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 They're just stuntment, fellas. Thanks for the link to new pictures. Looking good! I don't think they're stuntmen, my guess is they're going to be the joker's henchmen dressed up like batman in order to cause the police and the people of gotham to fear and distrust the batman.
