Well as ruskiiVFaussie stated in here, it's about time we got ourselves a poll on which mode is the better one for the VF-1.

So start voting| :p

EDIT : I for one voted for the fighter mode. updated post a bit.

I voted 'All of them'

Isn't that what the 'Variable' is all about?

If I had to choose a fighter based on looks I'd go with the FRX-00 Mave Yukikaze.

If I had to choose a robot based on looks I'd go with the EVA's.

The VF looks great in all modes, that's what makes it special.

Point taken, but to some people one out of the three modes has a little somthing that makes you think : "I like this one better."

I voted for all modes, but basically fighter looks a bit too ordinary fighter to me. I like it, but if it wasn't variable I wouldn't be so big fan of Valkyrie. Transformation makes the whole thing totally different. ^_^

Yup I'm talking VF-1 forgot to specify it, I'll remedy that in a second.

Fighter mode has the advantage with speed and maneuverability. Someone or something following your ass? Drop the legs or go to gerwalk and stop mid-air, then come up behind your target that bypassed you and blow them away.

Of course if it's cqb inside the Macross or in a city environment, I'd go with battroid, but overall in most situations I go with fighter mode.

Addition: Yes I display my valks like that, thinking of that because of the games. :p Plus they don't fall over when in fighter mode when there are earthquakes (or me hitting my knee against my desk).

Well this is interesting, I wonder which mode will prevail.....I voted Fighter mode :D

This is a tough one....so i went with all of them ^_^

My first experience with Macross was from Mac+ when i was like 10. Oddly enough it was the fighter mode i liked more than Battroid. Until recently i haven't really like mecha, but now i'm hooked because of Macross. (a little from FMP) I still love fighter jets though.

Gerwalk CRUISE mode, not the full Gerwalk. :p

For looks Gerwalk cruise mode. Fighter next, then Battroid, then full Gerwalk.

For Battle (not for cosmetics yer vain fools!) ? All of them.

Also just for sakes i nominate the VF-1 Valk as having the most sexiest Gerwalk of all the Variable Fighters out there.

... found some old pics! For cosmetics which one looks the sweetest out of Fighter or Gerwalk? VT-1 1/60!!!!

CQB? :p

I like it (gerwalk) for the fact it can jink at high speeds as shown by Max when Millia took out Hayao. Mind you fighter mode can do that as well, but doesn't leave a water trail as cool though!

Well looks like the fighter grabbed the pole position so far. I admit that the gerwalk cruise mode is not bad, but Battroid really is my 2nd favorite mode after the fighter.

personally, I like Gerwalk the best.

It combines the best features of the other modes.

and if you go into a steep dive with it in G-mode, you can stick the legs to the back and fly it just like the fighter.

the only thing you can't do in g-mode is ground rolls.

and it looks kinda badass.

To me its the ability to pull of all three that drew me in, so I voted for all three.
