Dante74 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Halleluja! Did you tell them about the Valkylie mistake? Quote
Nightbat Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 That explains why my comment didn't make any sense anymore Quote
Jin_Kune_Do Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 If Yamato is gonna do anything special for the ani...i think that the "2500th" would be a great choice. They dont have to make a new mold of anykind, only a simple repainting. I personally think this is better choice then the latter... - Jin Quote

mister_e Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 As a Macross toy fan, I fail to see how this is good news. How is releasing nothing at all better than releasing something? If you didn't like the scheme, you didn't have to buy it. I thought it wasn't too bad. I would have bought it were it an official release. Now I get what? Nothing As of this moment, we don't know if Yamato will be releasing anything at all for the 25th anniversary. Graham hasn't even hinted at anything (unless I completely missed it) Quote
Macross73 Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 (edited) just cause its official doesn't make it good. heck they could have made these and whos going to buy them. I just dont think they'd appeal to the majority Edited April 8, 2007 by Macross73 Quote

MrDisco Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 when i read 'Spirit Of Valkyrie' i thought it would be a translucent 1/48 Oo Quote

Nothing As a Macross toy fan I'd rather have nothing than that "Spilit of Valkylieminogue" But you would buy a polished turd with "25th anniversary" on it, as long as it's official? Quote
big F Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 But you would buy a polished turd with "25th anniversary" on it, as long as it's official? Saw an ad once where spomeone had placed a BMW badge on a dog turd and the punch line was "You idiots will buy anything" Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I would have bought it were it an official release. Now I get what? Nothing Dude! Don't you have enough Macross releases to buy already?! Quote

do not disturb Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 when i read 'Spirit Of Valkyrie' i thought it would be a translucent 1/48 Oo that i would buy, these on the otherhand...well you know. Quote
Jasonc Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Man, I must say, it is pretty Fugly. If I was that Valkyrie pilot in charge of that POS, I'd ask for a transfer. The paint scheme makes it look snub nosed, and much thinner than it is. That paint scheme has a really bad illusion of size and design that makes it look like a knock-off. The YF-19 looks "OK", but just that. Nothing to wow over. I'm not getting these unless I see a 19 on sale for $70 or less... maybe. Quote

jenius Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Looks like these customs are making appearances at all the Japanese toy shows. Quote
big F Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Looks like these customs are making appearances at all the Japanese toy shows. So hopefully they get lost in transit or better destroyed by some freak accident. Quote
kensei Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 that i would buy, these on the otherhand...well you know. Kinda like those crystal versions of the MGs and HGs that Bandai pans out with their Gundam kits. Wouldn't be such a bad idea with 1/48s. Quote

Sumdumgai Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Ouch, brings back memories of my crushed Q-rau. I don't hate those two 2007 valks that badly to want them destroyed... I just really really don't like them. Quote

Wouldn't be such a bad idea with 1/48s. Too bad we need a skeleton! Maybe it would look ok, but i can't picture it. Clear wings would look filth. I still want something to display my clear FP's with... i think i will use it for my custom 1S. Edited April 11, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
Lonewolf Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I probably said it in that other thread, but GOD those are ugly paint schemes. Quote
kensei Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Too bad we need a skeleton! Maybe it would look ok, but i can't picture it. Clear wings would look filth. Actually, you are right, I didn't consider that. Now that I think about it, it might look ugly. Maybe a gold plated Valkyrie. Quote

kensei Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Or the gold or silver plated VF-17 by Bandai. I don't know if it was ugly due to the primitiveness of the toy or the actual fact that it looked like something Mr T would wear on his neck. Quote
