TheLoneWolf Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Yuck! Kawamori, put that bong away! The VF-1 color's look like a rejected Jetfire color scheme. I'm also not a fan of the "Spirit of Valkyrie" and "1982-VF-2007" decals printed on them. They definitely look hand painted, but I'd say they're mock-ups for the real deal.
Fred_Scuttle Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 My Eyes!!!!! The GOGGLES - THEY DO NOTHING!!!!!!!!
striderhiryu Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 i think it is a color scheme to help the valk survive the radiation of reflex weapons.
Knight26 Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Until I see something from Graham and or Yamato I am going with these are fan painted
Chowser Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The VF in fighter mode looks FAT with that paint scheme. ARgh, no, Supernova and Stealth please...
mister_e Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The VF in fighter mode looks FAT with that paint scheme. So....maybe Kakizaki is piloting it?
Duymon Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The VF in fighter mode looks FAT with that paint scheme. ARgh, no, Supernova and Stealth please... It doesn't look just fat, it looks hideous.
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 (edited) Here's a couple of suggestion to Yamato for future VF-1 scemes. They're from Macross 7, so they're even cannon. They sure look a lot better than the topic scheme. I'm all for the Clown Sheme. Edited March 27, 2007 by Lonely Soldier Boy
big F Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 If these are really future release items. Well all I can say is There will be loads of Cheap 1/48`s in the bargain bin for all you custom painters out there.
Save Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I’ve been pretty swamped at work since coming back from Tokyo Anime Fair 07, and I’m working on a write up and tons of pictures to post up. Until then here are some pictures of the 25th Anniversary 1/48 VF-1J and YF-19 paint scheme. They were put on display at Satelight ’s booth on public day.

Can't say i'm really 100% behind those paint schemes, but i have to give em credit for doing such a clean job on them. Side note: can't believe you changed your avatar man! Can't complain about the new one though.
eugimon Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 We've been ranting about these pics over at this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...22067&st=40 Are these official? or just a custom job gone awry?
Save Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Side note: can't believe you changed your avatar man! Can't complain about the new one though. Hahah not to worry Indy will come back, when I get the full pic of the booth babes up. And Sorry I should have look for a similar thread before posting this one.
MasterOfPuppets Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Spirit of Vakylie? These are sure to sell like hotcakes.
Sumdumgai Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Personally I think they would look better covered in space-whale blood. But that's just me. Seriously they make me think of the Jetfire VF-1 Transformers toy.
Warmaker Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 These paint schemes for the YF-19 and VF-1 look far too "busy." They're cluttered with paint patterns that seem random. Not liking the look of those.
eugimon Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I'm putting my bet with fan custom... my reason is the FLIR sensors on the YF-19 are painted green instead of a translucent green plastic.
treatment Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) dude, thnx for the pix, but... those particular paint-schemes were already damn fugly in the other thread. they're still damn fugly in this thread. they just wasted a number of pretty good valks on those hideous monstrosity of a paint-scheme. i call shenanigans! Edited March 29, 2007 by treatment
UN Spacy Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 If Yamato decides to make these Limited Edition (which they should). It'll sell like hot cakes.
eugimon Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 If Yamato decides to make these Limited Edition (which they should). It'll sell like hot cakes. limited edition... as in limited to those in the display?
Dante74 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 From Graham's report on the main page. Yamato are planning other non-canon repaint schemes for the YF-19, including possibly a low visibility version and an all new color scheme especially designed by Mr. Kawamori. Maybe this is Kawamori's design. If so, then I think he might be experimenting with some new type of drug.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) No WAY will these... monstrocities grace my perfect Macross cabinent.... Really let down you know, 25 years and what? Looks like a Ice Cream wrapper slapped onto Valks.... I think i'll wait for the 30th year. Edited March 29, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie
GobotFool Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 It's weird how that mess of a scheme makes the VF-1 almost look like a compleatly different bird. Like the angel bird, PASS.
Knight26 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Hahah not to worry Indy will come back, when I get the full pic of the booth babes up. And Sorry I should have look for a similar thread before posting this one. Definitely need more booth babe pics, because the one in your avatar is HOT.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Angel Bird looks helluvalot better than this Streets Cornetto.
Valkyrie addict Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 thanks a lot for the pics and effort man but I don't like them, it's too cheerie for my taste
mister_e Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 This is probably a fan design. I doubt this is the Kawamori design that Graham mentioned, what with Valkyrie being misspelled and all. I should hope that by now Kawamori knows how to spell Valkyrie
Necron_99 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 This is probably a fan design. I doubt this is the Kawamori design that Graham mentioned, what with Valkyrie being misspelled and all. I should hope that by now Kawamori knows how to spell Valkyrie I just saw that!!
recon Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) Gosh, the colors are really distasteful, if yamato wishes to release something special for the 25th Anniversary 1/48 or 1/60, please do something thats nice and symbollic...for e.g. a minmay guard would be nice. Edited March 29, 2007 by recon
Busted VF1A Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 NOOOOOOO! My eyes, they hurt with the pain of a thousand bee stings...
Valkyrie addict Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I just saw that!! haha, talk about a goof!
Sakura Shinguji Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I do not know why, but the paint schemes remind of shoes... Nike Air Max 95 Nike Air Force One
penachoy Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 When I go jogging at night I will remind myself to strap two on my hips! Nice reflectors! But I'm definitely going to get both if they become official....sorry I'm a nutty completes.
Aegis! Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 The YF-19 doesn´t look half bad, as long as you keep those stickers away from it. The 1J on the other hand... I´m really curious to know if this is the suppossed special Kawamori paint scheme for the 25th anniversay, if so then the HFH is into much harder drugs than I thought. You know what they should do ? make the 25th anniversary paint scheme a pure gold (paint) and black VF-1S.
