Nice article there Totoro242. I'd love to see that translated as well.

I also just finished adding the last 19 pages to my first post. Enjoy...

And with all the Macross and Anime fans here surely someone here can read Japanese and help us get these translated. I'm almost certain we even have Japanese member here at MacrossWorld too. If you want to work on your English and make many fans greatful in the process here is your chance.

I have a model sheet that matches the mecha on page 54. It's a mecha that's larger than the MOSPEADA, and smaller than the Legioss. I believe it's also in the Artmic Design Works book.

Thanks for posting these!

Hello again all.

Sorry about being gone for so long. For the last year I have been working a job with heinous working hours. Got a new job which gives me alot more free time now.

Grats Carl on winning this holy grail of dojinshi(or should I say Greg?) Very kind of you to post scans, but unfortunatly they are not quite high enough resolution to make out the kanji in later pages. If you could post higher res scans of just the text I could give it a shot.

I cant make any promises but I can ask Robotto94 for help on the kanji.

Yes there are many japanese who come here to macrossworld, but very few actualy read the posts. If they do its in the modeling section. And very unlikely for them to see a post in the anime section, most of what is posted here is either incomprehensible to them or highly obsolete. The few macross/mospeada fans I know fluent enough to understand posts here are unfortunatly barred from posting here by their employers.

Here is a quick and dirty translation of the table of contents:

Sure... I have larger scans. I'll get them posted tonight when I get home. Thank you SO much for the help!!! And yes I'm Carl, Carl Hoff to be exact. We've PM'ed each other in the past. Remember? Who is Greg?

I was just about to say if they can't post from work they need to get PC's at home. Then it hit me, if their employer is who I think it is they probably can't post from home either. :(

If you think they'd want to help feel free to email them the scans.

Thanks again,

Carl

Yes I remember you, quite prolific here. Sorry about the confusion was thinking of a different auction, I should have asked if you were Shin_Mendoza.

The HIRES scans will help alot.

Also Robotto94 has agreed to help me with the Kanji.

Will start on the first chapter, if anyone else out there wants to work in parallel and do a different chapter please feel free.

Oh my god, Totoro, that's awesome! I must get that book. So it's the Animedia magazine? Damn, that's gonna be hard to find I think.

EDIT: Hey, I have the October 1983 book. So close!

I vote !! PIN IT!!! I LOVE IT... all soo valuable ..this thread rocks..

This page intriuged me because it illistrates what is called the motor/sensory humunculus..which is a graphical representation of the portions of our brain which are responsible for motor and sensory regions of our body. Desending from top..Legs..hands.face.genitals.The dif sizes of body parts represents how much of the brain part is taken up by that portion of the body. Note large regions for finger tips and lips..Brainy

Can anyone read this, seems like it would talk about some type of electroneuro originated brainwaves which could help to allow a computer to "see" your movement before the person actually starts moving.

I apologize for for not being able to do much work on the translations, been a rough year workwise layoffs reducing manpower so have to do more with less.

I also apologize for the crime of thread necromancy, to attone for this I offer some information I have come upon that may be of interest to some of you.

Mr. Sueoka Hazuyoshi, AKA Mechanized Unit(the author of the Mospeada doujinshi this thread was originaly about) has apparently been doing material for the doujinshi Mechanist. Most of the material is non-mospeada, but in vol.12 he has a short article covering the Legioss, Tread, and Condor mecha.

Nice!!! Could someone post scans? Or if that is a problem... could someone post a link where this vol.12 could be purchased? At a minimum a scan of the cover so we know what to look for?

Thanks,

Carl

From the recent Comiket 82. The circle uses kitbashed model kits to tell a story, and has a section on recent mospeada related items.

NICE!!! And thanks for pointing me to this thread. I haven't had the time lately to keep up with the forums the way I'd like. Any chance of this story getting translated into English?

Thanks,

Carl

My thoughts on the "Go for Broke" Dojin. Very poor print quality, looks like photographs pasted to a page and xeroxed, uneven hand binding. All these qualities I approve of greatly, its a true fan made book. Most dojin these days are slick professional looking books that the circle has no interest in, just its what is most likely to sell. Also a plus is the rarity, with the low print run combined with lack of presence in the usual consignment stores like toranoana and k-books.
