Noriko Takaya
Let me say, that while this is a nude girl, they have posted pictures just like this in mainstream magazines like Sports Illustrated which a 2 year old can buy, so I don't realy see the problem with posting it here, but others may disagree. If this image is deemed too graphic, remove it and I will place a link to go see it. I found this rather intersting image while surfing around the internet. I'm thinking of getting a tatoo and came across this rather bizarre image of a Japanese girl painted up all anime-like. I don't think this is a full fledged tato, just one of the body paint sessions like you see nowadays with models like Laetitia Casta, Tyra Banks and others. MOD EDIT - Please don't post nude images in the open forum. Even though she is painted over, she is still a bit too nekkid for our rules. MW Forums do not have an NSFW precedent. Lindem Herz
Artistically interesting. Were it a 3d model, I'd even say it's beautiful, altough a bit bizarre. But I'll be damned, I ain't hitting that thing even with an ICBM.
sketchley
Personally, I don't find the image offensive. Mind you, I am in the process of adopting the Japanese mentality when it comes to the human body (nudity) and sexuality. Let's just say that it's quite the opposite of the conservatism, shame of one's body, and subsequent obsession of sexuality as shown in Christian societies. The picture is art, and though I don't particularly favour the style used, I can appreciate the thought and craftsmanship in the work. The text on the work is also amusing: 生ãã¦ã„ã¦ã‚‚æ„味ãŒãªã„ The complaint I DO have about the picture is that the artist, model, or whoever didn't bother putting away (or at least hiding) the laundry! That reduces the presentation significantly.
Mechamaniac
I don't think it's offensive either, quite tasteful in it's own right, if a bit odd. But, there are underaged members who surf our forums after all. Making them click the link Noriko provided will only delay their viewing of nekkid Japanese girl by about .10 second. Keith
Why doesn't MW allow nudity again? Aren't we all in and around our 30's? As for the picture, that's disturbing to no end The only way that could be worse is if it were that guy who dressed up as female anime characters wearing a modeled head. Oh, and I don't think that was forgetting to put away the laundry, looks more like a last minute attempt at covering the exposed door/window. Dante74
Why doesn't MW allow nudity again? Aren't we all in and around our 30's? Because some little kid might stumble upon this topic and see this pic and paint his little sister in the same way. The sad part is, it might actually happen... Roy Focker
Honestly nudity (with the coverage) in that pic isn't that bad. Yes we are all about our 30's but a lot of us are still about 13 in brain power. This standard is too avoid confusion as some don't know when to stop or what's too far. Post the most tastefull artistic nude and someone here will then think it's okay to post those much lesser artistic value. Other posters may try to keep testing the bounderies. Nightbat
Heh, I've seen that pic before, yes it's a bodypaint (nipples would bleed too much to hold enough ink to appear white) I'm actually browsing the imageboards on the net for another anime-themed tattoo BTW Roy: 13 year old Brainpower? azrael
Why anybody would want to put on a body tatoo....that escapes me. The painting looks good anyways. And yes, we don't have a nudity policy, but then again, we don't want the kiddies to come here thinking this is a free porn site, nor do we want your workplace or people at your workplace wondering about why you are looking at a nude painted chick (hence NSFW and should be text linked). gerwalk25
WTF! I thought this was a thread of MW members having/showing their Anime related Tats (pardon the expression) . I was thinking of getting the UN Spacy insignia on my left upper arm myself. Edited March 22, 2007 by gerwalk25

But why is it that a society that has no taboos towards sexuality and the human body, is so obsessed in censoring the pubic areas? It's a serious doubt I have, 'cause the day I find a prejudice free society, I'm going to move there! Back on topic. I loved the pic, it'll go straight to my curious images folder

yellowlightman
Pretty obviously not a tattoo, but cool none the less. There was a guy on the old forums who had some nifty Macross tattoos, wish I'd saved the pictures. Basically complete sleeves on both arms, damned if I remember who it was though. KingNor
while i'm not against banning nude images on this board, the idea that doing so will somehow stop any paticular 13yearold from seeing porn during his stay on the internet is laughable. Exactly! One would think that the society with more issues towards sexuality, would be the one with the more intriguing sexual perversions. We are perverted in the west (I know I am), but the Japanese are sexual pioneers hands down! Edited March 22, 2007 by Lonely Soldier Boy
Hurin
With all due respect towards those who take issue with the "no nudity" rule on MW. . . exactly what part of discussing Macross requires you to show boobies and penises? And, if you really need to discuss breasts and penises aside from Macross, might I suggest that there are plenty of places elsewhere on the internet where such discussion is embraced. Now, if you'll excuse me, as part of my regular regimen of exquisite self-reflection and improvement, I'm currently in the process of adopting the Dutch "mentality" when it comes to free expression and forum moderation. I have explored the Japanese, American, and Zulu mentality, but Dutch is just far superior. H Edit: Oh, and also what Roy said.
