AKD001 Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 I'm trying to make a tri-mode Hasegawa YF-19 (my first Mac kit), and possibly a VF-0S when it comes out. The problem is, I've got very few resources for accurate transformation mechanisms. In fact, all I have right now is the detailed VF-0S transformation sequence shown in M:Zero. What is the best, most accurate and proportion-friendly transformable kit in 1/72 scale out there? I'll take your suggestions and buy one to examine the transformation process and stick it in my -19. Thanks alot. It's good to build something other than an MS or MH for a change! -Z Quote
tetsujin Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 If you're looking for a YF-19 transformation your options are the YF-19 transforming resin kits, or the Bandai transforming VF-19 plastic kits. You can still buy the Bandai kits on HLJ - but they look like ass in fighter mode, so I wouldn't bother. Quote
Phil Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 In addition, the Bandai kit has some replacable parts. You should take a look at the Yamato YF-19 toy to see how a perfect transformation should work. Quote
Aurora-7 Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 The 1/48 Imai Legioss fighters from the anime series 'Mospeada:Genesis Climber' were probably the best at transforming without giving up there proportions. Quote
GobotFool Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 Studio Halfeyes yf-19. but its expensive as hell. Quote
Noyhauser Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 I agree, the best by far was Studio half eye's YF-19. Your probably looking at $200+ USD though. I think the 19 translates better into a transformable mecha than most other valkries just by its shape. ( I think the vf 17 might give it a run for its money. ) Quote
