Lonewolf
I've been watching and rewatching Macross Zero ep. 5 to try and see what was the squadron logo on Shin's VF-0A tail fins in that final episode, but to no avail. Does he fly the Bunny, the Skull or some other squadron logo?
Valkyrie addict
I believe he's part of Roy's Skull squadron in episode 5... I mean, before launch they call them Skull 1, Skull
Beltane70
Skull. Throughout the episode, Roy always called Shin Skull Two.
Lonewolf
That I already know, but does he have the Skull logo on the tail fins of his VF-0D or VF-0A?
Zinjo
Oh I thought you were asking what squadron he belonged to prior to joining the Skulls...

azrael
That I already know, but does he have the Skull logo on the tail fins of his VF-0D or VF-0A? I don't recall ever seeing a logo on Shin's VF-0s. But then again, I never really cared.

sketchley
He may just be called Skull-2 simply because Skull-1 is Fokker's callsign, and, at least in some airforces, wingpairs are generally referred to by the callsign of the wingleader, not necessarily by their squadron name. This may also be the reason why DD Ivanov instantly recognizes Roy Fokker's VF as Fokker, and not any random pilot in the skull squadron. Valkyrie addict
emm...I think you don't really get a good look at the tailfin with the insignia, with the ghost on top and all, gonna try and get a look anyways
Valkyrie addict
sorry, no tailfin squadron insignia
Zinjo
sorry, no tailfin squadron insignia If I recall all the VF-0's were very generic without any distinctive markings except for Focker's VF-0S and the two seat VF-0B. The same was the case with the SV-51's. Only the two ace's had any sort of paint scheme and special insignias. Graham
IIRC, some of the VF-0A parked in the Asuka hanger or on the flight deck can be seen with either Skulls or Rabbits on the tails. Graham
Lonewolf
So I'll put the skull logo on Shin's VF-0A when I get it. Thanks all.
