I love Max jets of all kinds, esp. the J.

That thing looks like an anime painting or something. Very cool look.

If you keep producing good work like that you might have some orders coming your way for customs.. not sure if jung or anyone else does them anymore. I'd be the first one in line if you can be consistent with those jobs if you ever decide to sell your services =)

Very nice weathering effects too. Quite impressive, especially considering this is your first custom.

Thanks, guys ; i had to oilwash the hands and just wait a little more to transform it, then i'll take some photos with the right lights of all three modes (i hope graham put em on the custom section..)

I have always loved the Macross TV Valkyrie paint schemes far more than the DYRL? ones. Really, changing the color of 2 small stripes doesn't cut it for me to merit a variant. Anyways... I also like Max & Millia's -1J's, esp. Max's since blue's my favorite color.

The blue you used is right. It's medium in darkness and not light (baby blue Max -1J? Yuck! ).

Overall, it looks great! The only thing that kind of stood out to me, and I'm probably just picky, is that your panel lining and weathering is quite a bit heavier, darker on the forearms in contrast to other sections of your Valk.

So... we all know 1/48 Max / Millia -1J's are quite a bit uncommon and expensive. You gonna do a Millia -1J? That crimson valk is quite sexxxay if you pull it off.

Fantastic work man! I too think the panel lining is a bit (and I mean REALLY nit picky when I say a bit) too heavy, but it takes courage to leave a strong panel line and not keep airbrushing more and more coats on it so you can hardly see it (which is my problem, too cowardly)

WOW!!!

Awesome work, Gatsu! I for one favor the heavy panel lining. Now it just needs a bit of weathing to make it perfect. ;)

enough work for it i just wait to put in it the max pilot ;)

In this case the overdone panel lining works. It makes the toy look like a painting. A living painting or anime cell.

It's a very very cool look.

Still, 99% of customs are overdone on the panel lining and less means more.
