After 12 days, their situation was getting hopeless with food running out and no exits to be found. Minmay was extremely depressed as she was afraid that their bodies would be eaten by rats after they starved to death. So she asked Hikaru to die together with her by jumping into outer space. Hikaru refused and assured they would get out eventually. That's when the construction crew/rescuers found them Quote
