recon Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 That is good news on the booster pack... now I may have to go back on the whole "wait for 2nd release thing..." Will still wait for the reissue or 2nd version as a precaution, it never hurts to see wait till the reviews are out cos you are paying a premium price for them. Quote
eugimon Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Will still wait for the reissue or 2nd version as a precaution, it never hurts to see wait till the reviews are out cos you are paying a premium price for them. darn you and your reasoning. Quote
recon Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 haha you cant blame me for it due to yamato records for not churning a perfect 1st version variant without any QC or design problems. Of cos i would love yamato to prove me wrong on the upcoming 1st version of SV-51, cos it is really a torment to see many other MWers enjoying theirs while i wait for a corrected version to be reissue. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I'll wait for the reports too. Besides it'll give me some more time to save money for it, but I'm glad that Yamato seems to be listening to the complains of the consumers. BTW: Any sign of the Maxfactory Garland? Now... To the Legioss/Tread dicussion thread! Quote
kensei Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 (edited) oh yes... well i think you have to get a whole packet of oreo kensei... think u need them.... anyways.. i will get myself 2 sets, no three sets... hahahhaha... but start saving now for the items in summer.. any one know of any release dates?? So you're saying that the Toynami's is better, and yet you are buying the CMs? Graham, have Yamato posted up the RRP for the SV-51, and is the one displayed at the Festival a coloured resin or final prototype? Edited February 26, 2007 by kensei Quote
wolfx Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 No SV-51 pics anywhere on the net? Apparently "Scary Yamato Booth Guy" was there again and even tokyohunter couldn't get any pics of the stuff at the booth. Guess we'll have to wait and rely on Graham. Quote
jenius Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Those are the Popy pieces right? Sometimes called "magnet action?" Man, I've been dying for pics before I preordered and no one was coming through with anything solid. I think HLJ bumped the released date back to April.... Hmm... not sure how impressed I am... Quote
recon Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 These magnet 1/144 series valks look real good..hell they even have pilots seating inside of the cockpit. Erm whats with the landing gear, as the valks seem to be slanting to one side Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 They are brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man i hope i get a decent lot from my box. I will order another if i get all doubles. Go the CF Squadron of DOOM! Quote

I prefer CM's to toynami .. nothing personal but it's all abt QC.. okie off side.. back to original topic.. =P Quote

The angelbird look okie but not for the VF-1J Millia...maybe the landing gear was attached in a incorrect manner. Anyways would be getting these for display in my office..*zoom* Zoom Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 patiently waiting for the right chance for Yamato scary booth guy to make a mistake and take pictures like a madman before running Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Is it the wing? It's probably not extended, but it looks like the VF-1J is on an angle. I think there's an odd perspective going on on that picture, since all valks are tilted the same way, not just the landing gear ones. Looking at the picture of the box they are as detailed as the 1/48's, but they're not for me. So much great stuff coming. Gotta set my priorities Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 well emm hmm but then we need graham to confirm on it right? hahaha... i am pretty damn sure it's from wonder fest.. cause toynami dun use japanese words for display labelling .. am i right people? =p GUYS!!!! What's up? You are slipping, I got an email and a PM about the new Liquid Stone YF-21 but not a peep about this Legioss and Tread. I must know all there is to know... Who is CM? Is this a garage kit or hopefully something I won't have to spend $1000 on to get. Thanks, Carl P.S. Just kidding about the slipping part. Quote
HoveringCheesecake Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 There's a thread in the Anime & Sci-Fi forum. Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 There's a thread in the Anime & Sci-Fi forum. Yes, I just saw Graham's post. Sorry... going to the correct forum. Carl Quote
Guest sh002 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Really no Yamato pics? Someone should have just pretended they were on the cell phone and used their camera phone or something. Quote
Jasonc Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Really no Yamato pics? Someone should have just pretended they were on the cell phone and used their camera phone or something. That's what seperates the pros from the newbs (j/k) I'm gonna be anxious on seeing the new SV-51. I guess I'm gonna start saving now for that, the Tread/Legioss set, and whatever other goodies we see when everyone post their pics up. Quote
HoveringCheesecake Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 (edited) Even if the guy did shoo Graham off - didn't he say he had a meeting with Yamato officials? I'm sure that he has SOME info, he's probably just busy with work/too hungover to post anything. EDIT: Fixed my punctuation. Edited February 27, 2007 by meh_cd Quote
wolfx Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Not sure if Graham even has photos. He mentioned he was lining up at a 2 mile queue to enter Tokyo Big Sight, so i suppose he doesn't have a Dealer or Press Pass which would allow him to take photos freely, unless of course Yamato gives him their blessings. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I read somewhere a post by Graham stating that he took quite a bunch of photos, but he'll post them when he's back home. Quote

I think they even sell that sign at WF. http://www7.big.or.jp/~katsurao/zakin/ It's a perfect sign for event like WF though. (Like trying to buy uber limited resin kit and what not.) Graham Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Don't worry, I have lots of pics of the Yamato stuff at their booth including: - 1) SV-51 w/weapons. 2) VF-0A Shin w/Ghost Booster. 3) Ghost. 4) Motoslave. 5) YF-19 w/Fold Booster (the LEDs are really cool). 6) 1/24 RC Turbo Custom Scopedog. 7) 1/12 Red Shoulder Custom w/full weapons. Of course I'm allowed to take as many pics as I want. It's gonna take me a few days to get them all together on a page. Graham Quote
Dante74 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Please start with the SV-51 pics!. Please please please please!! Quote
