i know thats a bizarre kinfa statement for toy collectiors, since we never stop collecting.

But lets say of all the Yamatos out there at the moment, what do u have and need to complete the collection? Lets stop at items we KNOW FOR A FACT are coming. so no 1/60 YF-21 or whatever, though we assume they are.

So for me:

in 1/48 Im about halfway to wear i want to be. I have Roy and max DYRL, i still want Hikaru and Hayao's valks, and then 3 sets of fast packs. Then Ill have my skull squadron.

Miriya and Max's 1J's will be joined (I hope) some day bu Hikarus 1J with FPs, and that will be my vermillion squadron.

The Stealth J, Low viz 1 and 2 and CF make up my 'earth' forces. I just need the Stealth for that set to be complete, and i also plan on a GBP v2 armour set.

and an Angelbird which will be placed on a stand behind my minmei cm FIGURE.

Then thats it! my 1/48 collection will be complete, at leats going by what is out now.

VF-0.

I have 2 0S's and 2 0A's. ill get the Shin and ghost, and mayeb an second ghost. havent decided. then Ill be done.

I have the 2 1/60 QRaus, I have my max 1a to fight em and a 1/60 1D just coz i like the plane. I have the YF-19 and am yet to be convinced to get the new version wiht the fold booster. And ill get the black 51 to fight my 0'S!

and there we go! if no toys came out beyond what we know now, thats what id want to be happy with my collection. Id probably start getting some more 1/48 Hikaru DYRL 1A's or something so i could do customs after that....

I would like to finally get a low viz 1a. Came close a few times but always backed out for one reason or another.

I'd also like the 1/48 super max. I have the miria, so I guess I'd get the max just to be a completist.

And yes scream-man, if I wasn't so angry about the shin VF-0, I'd get that as well.

So the rules are all Macross toys made by Yamato? Or is it all Macross toys in general? If it's all Macross toys in general the Takatoku 1/100 series (except Max) and an ultra minty VF-1A HCM at a bargain price are the only things I'm lacking (of stuff that exists that I want) . There's also one old Mospeada toy I haven't tracked down. Beyond that it's whatever comes out!

I'm actually not angry about it.. so if you're imagining me sitting around and fuming, sorry... I had more of a smirk going when I wrote that post.

but I DO want the shin/ghost pack.. I bought extras of the initial 0s just so that I could display it with the ghost pack, actually. I just feel cheesed about how many little issues the VF-0s has... and the shoulder breaking and then the whole no shin type, oh wait, here it is! thing.

I'll probably end up getting it anyways and have to eat crow.

i'm not really missing anything other than the VF-0S. at one time i had all the yamato releases but got rid of alot of them as well as pointless repaints like the DYRL schemes. i'm actually considering selling off all my TV valks...

Why so many of each CndShockwave?

Complete squadrons for various modes, like the Hikaru/Max/Kanzaki squad with each set being it's own mode, like robot, another in gerwalk, and another in fighter. Sames goes for the Angel Birds, Low Viz, and so on. Plus extras for fastpack modes, a few fastpacked squadrons. Plus a couple of extras to fiddle with.

But my my list is primarily motivated by the "ideally" in the title of the thread. Chances are that I'll never even come CLOSE to meeting that 72 fig target. But a man can dream... oh yes, a man can dream... and win the lottery *rushes out to the convinience store*

But in terms of what I could actually afford. I'd go with another YF-19, another VF-0A, and maybe an Angel Birds.

I'm rather happy with what i've got... my biggest problem is that I decal and detail all my Yamato valks, so right now my biggest concern isn't getting more, it's doing toe work on the onesw I have... to date, I need to decal and detail my:
