Panon Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 Just wondering if anyone has bought the macross zero OST.What did people think about it? To be honest, pretty average. The kind of music that works well enough as background music but isn't that great to listen to on it's own, IMO. Quote
Graham Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 I bought it when it was first released months ago, but could never really get into it. IMO, there's no really outstanding tracks that really grab you. Personally, I think the Macross Plus OST 1 is far superior to the Macross Zero OST 1. Graham Quote

jaytea Posted October 15, 2003 Author Posted October 15, 2003 My friend let me listen to some tracks from Macross Zero OST. Some of them sounded quite good to me, like "Arkan Part 1" and "VF Zero". What raised my eyebrows though was the track "Sky Shine".... I'm into film scores and own many of them myself. So imagine my surprise when i hear part of James Horner's "The Rocketeer" score being used about half-way into the track. (the sample comes from track "Rendezvous at Griffith Park" and the "Main theme") I didn't get a chance to go through the cd cover, but I guess i want to know if the Macross zero composer credited this sample to James Horner or not? Curious, Quote
