aaajin Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 not sure why some people cant see the new scan including myself. But here's the pic courtesy of wolfx (or Graham, if he got it here) from another forum :
eugimon Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 there are OTHER forums??? Heh. thanks for posting the pic up here. Again, I really love how the SV-51 looks. And I love that the toy is able to reproduce some of the gimmicks from the show... like folding up for launch and the extending head. I'm just really nervous about it ending up like the VF-0 and being a lemon.
wolfx Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I got the scan from graham. Probably the server migration of files isn't complete.

Scream Man Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 damn, that does look good.... gah....I was gonna skip this but......so hard to resist...... What are those red arrows pointing at in the smaller pics on the left side?
konimon Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 What are those red arrows pointing at in the smaller pics on the left side? I am also trying to figure out what those pics are showing. Arrows are pointing at what appears to be the lock parts for the arm assembly. It moves down to unlock so the arm assembly can rotate and move toward back, then lock parts moves back upwards. I've read the text, but still sorta confusing by just looking at those pics. I may have to get this, because that seems the only one way to find out. I remember buying 1/72 YF-19 without any knowledge of M+. I just wanted to figure out how that thing transforms.
Swoosh Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) Not sure if this have been posted before.... YAMATO SV-51 Transformation Flash Video Edited July 6, 2007 by Swoosh
David Hingtgen Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Nifty, but Graham's transformation videos are far more useful.
Roy's Blues Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 As pissed off as I am about the Shin combo Bullcrap, it's things like this that keep me "Yamatotionalized"
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Yea it's pretty nice... they could've used more frames to make the transformation a lil smoother lol or slowed it down. Yea I just hope they don't forget some of the tampos they show us in all of these pics and magazine reviews.
Dante74 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm a little worried after seeing the sixth pic. If Yamato hasn't arranged for some kind of locking mechanism for the nose cone, I'm pretty sure it'll get loose after a certain number of transformations. I also hope that the wings can hold all the weight of the missiles and boosters.
wolfx Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 During the intro of the transformation animation , is it me or i finally see a head tilt in a yamato battroid? ZOMG finally the head is on a ball joint! w00ts!
robodragon Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) Automatic transformation. That's a nice gimic. Although Mine most likely wont work right out of the box. Edited July 6, 2007 by robodragon
charger69 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Wanna have the transformation flash file permanently? Here it is... http://rapidshare.com/files/41390683/SV-51...mation.swf.html P.S.: You will need a SWF Opener for this file (Hassle free, don't worry) Link for download http://www.browsertools.net/SWF-Opener/
Lonewolf Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 More frames would indeed have benn nice to smooth the animation. Quite a nice bird if you ask me, but I think that the Ivanov paint scheme fall a little bland in the end even if I think it's pretty cool though.
funkymonkeyjavajunky Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Any update as to when this item will hit the shelves?
Roy's Blues Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Lost and found toys, HLJ and BBTS all say July release. Twin Moons has it released on 083107 Perhaps Graham knows...

ruskiiVFaussie Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I'm really looking forward to the review/s. Graham man you gonna do up one of your famous reviews?
DARKWIND Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I'm really looking forward to the review/s. Graham man you gonna do up one of your famous reviews? I was thinking the same thing. Graham how soon till we see one of those awesome previews?
Fly4victory Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 YAMATO SV-51 Transformation Flash Video To have an accurate transformation shouldn't a wing or an arm fall off? Will Yamato break the curse of the first run QC problems? Love the SV-51 and the photos look great but think I will sit this one out until the reviews are in.
Roy's Blues Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 To have an accurate transformation shouldn't a wing or an arm fall off? Nope. They used a different one for each image. They superglued all parts in place. Will Yamato break the curse of the first run QC problems? I hope so. I'm not canceling my preorder. I may be my last though..... Love the SV-51 and the photos look great but think I will sit this one out until the reviews are in. I'm sure there will be many.

But yeah, I'm kind of worried as well. And the wings, but it looked like in the picture that graham posted that there are pegs that you push around to lock the wings in place at the shoulder, so we'll see.
David Hingtgen Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 With the way Yamato's going, I need to start buying stock in small, powerful magnets...
Valkyrie addict Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 look great...but I'll wait for the reviews of the 1st run
Swoosh Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 With the way Yamato's going, I need to start buying stock in small, powerful magnets... Agreed, the magnet inside leg armour of YF-19 is not powerful enough...
Beware of Blast Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 (edited) If you got Yamatoed by the toy itself before, getting Yamatoed again by weak magnets should be easier to accept; or does it make getting generally Yamatoed alot worse? Edited July 10, 2007 by Beware of Blast
T0t0r0 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Wouldn't the closed landing gear doors help keep the nosecone up?
UN Spacy Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 If you got Yamatoed by the toy itself before, getting Yamatoed again by weak magnets should be easier to accept; or does it make getting generally Yamatoed alot worse? Okay we get it. Stop being a dead horse.
Graham Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 The release date is supposed to be 25th July, but this might get pushed back slightly. I'll have more firm news on Friday 20th as I have a meeting with Yamato then. Graham

Really can't wait to see this bird flying on the shelf. Any idea on the stand and fast pack? ^_^
