quattroaction Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I have one big question for you all What is your favorite Macross Toy? The one you would never give away. The one you would die for I am new in this whole Macross-thing and dont think my opinion is good but I think the best one is the 1/60 Scale Macross Zero VF-0S. What do you think? See ya Bart Quote
valhary Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 FOR ME THE WINNER IS THE 1/48 VF-1S HIKARU I LOVE IT PERFECT TRANSFORMATION AND GREAT APPEARANCE Quote
Dante74 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 WHAT?!?! SPEAK UP!!! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!! For me it's the VF-0A although I haven't been collecting for very long. Quote
eugimon Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Vf-0a for me as well. It looks spot on perfect and thankfully, my arms haven't broken off. Quote
capt.actionjackson Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 My Bandai SDF-1.... ... ... .... .... Until Yamato makes one. HINT HINT HINT Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Bandai 1/55 VF-1S Lets hope Bandai reissues the Strike, still No.1 in my list. Quote
KiriK Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Probably my 1/48 VF-1 A/S w/ fastpacks.... It was my 1st 1/48 and has a special place in me heart.... Quote
MasterOfPuppets Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 (edited) Probably my 1/48 Max Super VF-1J. EDIT: Woops thought this was favorite Macross toy. Edited January 5, 2007 by MasterOfPuppets Quote
Arthurius Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 My 2 favorates till now are: 1/48 Vf-1s Roy and 1/60 vf-0a anything less, is uncivilized!!!! Quote
myk Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Difficult to answer, considering I wouldn't give any of my pieces away, but I suppose my favorite is the...Lick Hunter VF-1S Joke Machine (?!) Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 If I had to choose only one I'd say Hikaru/Focker 1/48 VF-1S with GBP armor!!!! Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 VF-1S 1/60 Roy Strike Valkyrie, my very first macross toy, and I just love how it looks, the bubble canopy on the 1/48 is a bit dodgy Quote
dizman Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I'd have to say the 1/60 VF-0S, Great detail and lots of panel lines (not painted of course) and I've always loved its sleek look. You can pretty easily fix the QC problem with the arms. The second version has been released by now anyways hasn't it? Did they fix the problems with the first or what? Quote
connor99 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 For me, it's the 1/48 MAX 1A....until I get my custom VF-1S MAX ! Quote
Repiv_Onex Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 VF-1S 1/60 Roy Strike Valkyrie, my very first macross toy, and I just love how it looks, the bubble canopy on the 1/48 is a bit dodgy OT- Aside from the size and box design, personally I prefer the 1/60 VF-1S' proportion and look more than its 1/48 scale(except the '48 kneecap looks nicer). Quote
Wicked Ace Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 OT- Aside from the size and box design, personally I prefer the 1/60 VF-1S' proportion and look more than its 1/48 scale(except the '48 kneecap looks nicer). Here's a debate waiting to happen. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, the 1/60 scale VF-1S head is in a way most true to the anime. Quote
Scream Man Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 the 1/60's had a few advantages, but the 1/48s really overshadow them. Quote
Godzilla Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Man, that is hard. I really couldnt live with all of mine. Right now it would be a toss up between the VF-1A LV or VF-1J Super Max or the YF-19. Quote
Mechinyun Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 1/48 Hikaru VF-1J! Always my favorite since childhood.. Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Which one would I never give away? That's easy: 1/55 Elintseeker! That's because it would be so hard to get another MIB one. Now which toy do I think is best overall? Ask me again once my 1/60 YF-19 arrives from BigBadToyStore...which looks to be next spring Quote
kung flu Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Mine has to be the 1/48 Roy VF 1S followed by the Miria Queadlun Rau by yamato Quote
quattroaction Posted January 5, 2007 Author Posted January 5, 2007 Wow! Thanks for all the replies I see that there is a hard fight between the 48er and the 1/60.Soon I will buy one and hope that I will know which one until then ^^ Quote
Agent-GHQ Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 I have one big question for you all What is your favorite Macross Toy? The one you would never give away. The one you would die for I am new in this whole Macross-thing and dont think my opinion is good but I think the best one is the 1/60 Scale Macross Zero VF-0S. What do you think? See ya Bart ALL of them from Takatoku, Bandai, and Yamato. But that's just me though. Quote
kanedaestes Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 I go with both the Hikaru vf-1j (because of my childhood) and the 1/60 yf-19. The 19 is my all time favorite valk design Quote
doodler7 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 My favorite Macross Toy...I'd give away if necessary...and I probably would not want to die for it either...but I treasure the sparks it provides my imagination, childhood memories, and inspiration these days. I'd say the Yamato 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru...with fast pack as valkyrie/gerwalk...and gbp armor as a battroid. I discovered Robotech first before Macross...sadly enough, but that's what you get to limited television...the VF-1J was the icon that does the struts and reaches out on every end of each episode's introduction. It was also the very first valkyrie that I encountered at a toy store, 1/55 scale (I think it was a Korean Knock-off...because it looked all gray at the time...1984/85?) Fresh yoh! Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) Hmmm, I........ have to say the 1/48 VF-1J Hik as well. With GBP armor, and FP's of course. RT struck me in the head big time when i was a kid as well. Bless them. I want to buy a 2nd 1J Hik eventually. To display as the swishing kick ass battroid you see busting the pose with the smoking gunpod in front of a distant SDF-1. But Shin's 0A will come in May, i can't see it being my fav. Not until i get off my ass and watch the series. Nuh, the 1J demon is by far the coolest, hero valk ever. Sorry Roy fans. Heh, a 1/60 YF-21 would rule over all my collection..... Edited January 9, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
Graham Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 1/48 Hikaru DYRL VF-1S Strike, cus DYRL rules! 1/60 YF-19, cus Mac Plus rules too. Oh and 1/60 VF-0S & VF-0A, cus they look so hot, even if the shoulders are fragile. What, I can only choose one?! Graham Quote
Graham Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 And Bandai 1/65 VF-17D, cus I love the 17 and it's such a rugged toy. Graham Quote
Graham Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Heh, a 1/60 YF-21 would rule over all my collection..... I'd personally prefer a Macross 7 VF-22 Max type rather than a Macross Plus YF-21, but that's just me. Anybody who loves to see Max kick ass in a VF, owes it to themself to watch episode # 44 of Macross 7. Graham Quote

My Zero and Mac 7 dvds are still unwatched. lol I'll get around to it eventually. Episode 44 sounds like the go! And yeah, i would like a 22 as well. WANT. Quote
Mowe Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I actually like the 1/100 VB-6 Konig Monster alot. There are a few design flaws but it is just an engineering miracle. I loves those big feet... Quote
