About $7000+. And the worst part is that was all in a little under a year.

I am scared to add up what I have spent. It is not as much as some of you guys. Sqidd and Macrossman should get the awards for most spent in a short amount of time.

Interesting too to add the other macross items such as chunky monkies, CMS figures, and other macross models and figures.

I don't bother to add up the actual money amount. It is enough for me to look at the pictures of the wife, kids, and beautiful house I used to have but lost. Always looking on the bright side, my collection doesn't get UV light in my new residence, under the highway bridge.

I shudder to think ... All told it must be several grand by now, I'm sure.

All I have to do is go look at my two bookcases crawling with the little guys, and it's all worth it, though. The problem is sadly space and not money these days.

Not including almost $5K in MPC's, 1/100's and bookends--- or the Banpresto's, Tomy, or Charas.

Or, all of the model kits, including resins, that probably adds up to another $5K.

I guess now I see why I'm still drving to work in a rusty 1987 Civic!

In all seriousness, I'm thinking I should probably add them to the home insurance policy as a rider. Anyone else done this? Godzilla or one of the other hardcore collectors?

Funny you ask. I just checked with my agent last week and was told these would be included in the "dwelling". I was told that our policy includes a percentage of the home's value that covers personal belongings. The only things that are enforced on limitations are like jewelry and furs. My agent did say if they are of a significant value that he suggested having them appraised. For us we have about $270K of coverage for contents so I think that should be plenty enough. I would check with your agent for details on your policy though.
