jenius Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Man... I try to avoid thinking about it.. Just using rounded ball park figures, since I don't remember the exact dollar amount spent on each. My prices listed also include shipping so I think this is a pretty fair estimate. 1/48 VF-1 Super Sets: $185 x 3 1/48 VF-1 Valkyries: $135 x 4 1/48 Delux Set Stealth: $200 x 1 1/48 LowVis Version 1: $195 x 2 1/48 Strike Parts: $55 x 2 1/48 GBP: $110 x 2 1/60 VF-1 (first edition): $40 x 2 1/60 VF-1 Super/Strike/GBP: $75 x 4 1/60 VE/VT-1 Elint/Ostrich: $75 x 2 1/60 VF-0S: $140 x 1 Survey says!?!: $2,685 Quote

Dante74 Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 $1350 in little over one year...ouch. And then there's the SOC's, the PG's etc. etc. I'll be going back into denial now. Quote

Godzilla Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 oh poo. I dont want to know... good lord. I know I spent tons of money on my yammies. I know I spent over 5K on them. More likely 10K. My god... Quote
physioguy Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Just over $2000, and I now only collect macross stuff, so some of you guys are definitely making me feel better about myself and my addiction. So all I need now is 2 x YF-21s, 2 x SV-51s, and some battlepods, then I'll quit... maybe Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 And you call yourself an addict! haha! good one, well, I just started collecting them late october and bought myself around 7 valks already, so my addiction is just starting Quote
Nightbat Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Well, here's my "guestimate": took the s/h of the Q-rau as middleground s/h costs and added 19% Tax over everything on some lone 1/60, customs didn't hit me, but most were 1/48's where s/h was at least double that of the Q-rau against todays currency (in the beginning a 1/48 cost me €120 a piece, nowadays they're less than €100) the figure I calculated on HLJ's prices (where everything was bought)gave me a rough €3500 More realistically, I probably went over €4000 (= $5200) Then to think I only miss the 2 non-canon GPB's and the TRU 1/60 CF Quote
Roy Focker Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 $700 Averages out to about $100 for all 7 of mine. Yeah crazy big ass spender here!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Matt Random Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 I've maintained a budget since '02 so I know for sure that I've spent $2075 in the past four years. Tack on another $450 for any 1/60 and 1/72 stuff that came out before '02 and I have a grand total of $2525. I've sold quite a bit of stuff over the years which brings my grand total down to $1010. big F Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 lol I beat you all £250 all in But I have bought all mine while in Japan so the price/exchange rate is much better. Quote
cahosgtx Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 wow, i don`t feel bad any more for my wallet for spending $935 plus taxes and shiping on my Yammies Quote
myk Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Maybe 'bout a little under a grand-far too much, as I've come to realize... Quote
Veritas Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Holy crappers i tried to add everything up after going through all of my Yammie stuff and over the years it looks like i've spent around $5000 on these bad boys. I knew it was bad but putting into perspective that's probably about $100 a month over the last few years. Quote
jenius Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 C'mon Godzilla, we wanna know! Well, his sig lets you know, just add a price Quote
kensei Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Well, his sig lets you know, just add a price No it doesn't, as it doesn't include shipping, taxes, and to be more toy-specific, accessories like FAST Packs. Quote
jenius Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 No it doesn't, as it doesn't include shipping, taxes To be fair, I calculated that into my price, and anyone coming up with their own price could do the same. accessories like FAST Packs. I get the feeling when someone is done calculating just the stuff in the sig, they'll be satisfied knowing that Godzilla has spent a LOT of money. Quote
kensei Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Just don't get the idea that a FAST Pack or a GBP is cheap by any means. Quote
kanedaestes Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Right now i believe i've spent around 1000 - 1500 on mine. wow that is a lot when u have to actually sit here and think about it. Granted not as much as most of you, but when you are a low ranking military member that is a lot Quote
do not disturb Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 I get the feeling when someone is done calculating just the stuff in the sig, they'll be satisfied knowing that Godzilla has spent a LOT of money. godzilla 1/48 count of 130 pcs at $135(for a standard non-FP valk for the sake of arguement), roughly comes to $17550! add-on the price of FP kits, super valks, and the rest of the yammies, and he's well over $20K. like you said, i don't feel so bad anymore. Quote
jenius Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 and the rest of the yammies, and he's well over $20K. like you said, i don't feel so bad anymore. Kensei and Godzilla can take heart knowing that they still have only spent a fraction of what Lord Kung-Fu had. I mean, that guy even needs to calculate in the overhead from his climate-controlled warehouses buried deep within the sands of California's deserts. (How long does Lord Kung-Fu have to have not posted here before I should stop making fun of him?) Quote
