Lonely Soldier Boy Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 That's a great deal. Is your Garland calling me "sucker"? Quote
Fly4victory Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Garland arrived with the Yamato Miria 639 figure set. Wife saw Miria and said "look you got a Barbie" so that is how the Garland is in the dispaly case. As upset some are with Yamato may think it is a message to the manufacturer but it is strickly domestic. That's a great deal. Is your Garland calling me "sucker"? Quote
jenius Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I did a review of this toy, I tried to picture the differences between the original shoulders and the replacement shoulders but it's really hard to see anything other than the new shoudlers don't have painted tips. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 As somebody else stated earlier, the new shoulders have one "click" instead of two to lock the arms in place. Also I noticed that the new shoulders have a sloppier paint finish on the wheel covers. Other than that I can't even tell if the replacements are made from a better plastic or not. Quote
Chet Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Anyone got the new Autonomous Force Garland from Yamato, or seen reviews thereof on the web? Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I preordered mine at Twinmoons, but it's not in stock yet. I don't know if it's out in Japan, but I don't think so. Quote
Los Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I still not opened our Military Garland for display yet. I will have time to do it next week. Nice review Jenius! I just referred a potential customer to your review since he was asking about the shoulder joints. It is nice to see that Yamato is sending free joints to customers. I may try to get some from our Yamato rep for the last two we have. Quote
jenius Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Thanks for the nod Los! With the improved shoulders these toys are great. It's always fun to get my hands on a toy I like this much. It's just too bad the shoulders had all those problems but if Yamato gets some version 2.0 shoulders available for you then those toys will undoubtedly be a great deal. Quote
emerson Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Was there every a Version 2.0 that comes with the improved shoulders straight out of the box? Or is the only game in town still to purchase a flawed Garland and fix up with the after-market shoulders? Quote
Scream Man Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 theres a red version second edition coming out witht eh new shoulders and an extra figure. i dont know if its at the same time as, or after the brown garland. Quote
jenius Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Brown Garland is out with 2.0 shoulders. Red Garland is being re-released as a Megazone giftset with movies and some other stuff at a steeper price. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 And a metallic paint finish. Tamim e-mailed me a couple of weeks ago about my brown Garland, but I'll have to wait for my other items to arrive before I can get my hands on it. Quote
Dante74 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 And a metallic paint finish. Metallic? hmmm...you just got my attention. Anyone know how much it's going for? Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Metallic? hmmm...you just got my attention. Anyone know how much it's going for? The Megazone 23 complete box costs U$S 245 (comes with Megazone 23 DVD, original soundtrack CD, "set material" book, and a "metallic color" version of the 1/15 Garland) Quote

drifand Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Also Yamato USA has the new red Garland combo for sale. They say only 100 for North America for $248. Aha! I knew *somebody* had to foot the bill for the replacement shoulders! Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 You can buy a starcraft 2 statue for that. Quote
Scream Man Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 ok kids, heres a question: The military garland is out....How are the shoulders on it? Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I'd like to know that myself, but mine is sitting at Twinmoons waiting for the rest of the items I ordered to be shipped. My guess is the shoulders will be the same as the replacement ones. I doubt they will be made of a better plastic or anything, just like the VF-0 replacements, so I'll just be careful Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Lets us know when it finally reaches you and you get to see it. Quote
