Chronocidal Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 (edited) K, I apologize it's taken me this long to get this out, I've just had to push everything aside lately for classwork. The plane isn't quite done in my opinion, there's still more I'd like to do, but I don't have the time to learn how to do it right. I've got the basic plane done, with an extremely basic 3d cockpit, a stock instrument panel for the 2d view, and seven paintschemes, with no fancy effects or anything. It might even run in FSX, but it's meant for FS2004. Hopefully people will add in what's missing, since I don't have time to. Of course, now that FSX is out, I'm already rebuilding it from the ground up with about 4x as many polygons, and tons more detail. Dunno when it'll be done, but the model exterior is just about done, and is extremely smooth. It's kind of a learning project to teach myself the details of FSX modeling. I'll see about compiling all the files for my CFS3 YF-19 as well later. Blatant overkill in a WWII environment, but it's amusing to blow away every enemy in Europe in one strike mission. Now, is there somewhere I can stick a 10 mb rar file so people here can download it? Edited January 26, 2008 by Chronocidal Quote

Dante74 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 (edited) Maxi, You might not want to put your e-mail adress online like that. Rather PM it. Edited December 9, 2006 by Dante74 Quote
Chronocidal Posted December 10, 2006 Author Posted December 10, 2006 K, sending now, should be up soon. Lemme know if there's any problems.. hopefully there won't be, I just ran a test with each model, and they all looked ok, but there always seems to be something to fix. Quote
Zinjo Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 this thread needs screen shots Yes screenies would be appreciated... Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 definately, would finally give me a reason to use FS2004 again Quote
maxi Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 can you ad the link to the download page?? thanks. Quote
Chronocidal Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Hey, sorry it doesn't appear to be up yet, I don't quite know what happened. I mailed the file off to someone who offered to host it, then headed home for Christmas, and didn't get to check back till now. I would try sending it to someone now, but I'm on a 28k modem at the moment. It might be another week before I can do anything about it. But I can give you a preview of the new one I'm working on for FSX Quote
Dante74 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 OMFG. FSX has models that are THAT detailed?!?! That looks perfect. Are you going to make a FAST pack version? Quote

Chronocidal Posted January 3, 2007 Author Posted January 3, 2007 Well, I'll put it this way.. I haven't hit the polygon limit yet in FSX. Course, I haven't been experimenting much lately, but I did get a 90k poly model running beautifully (no textures though). I can't actually sell anything like this, due to copyright junk, but I'll gladly put it up for free download.. whenever it gets finished that is. :? Quote
Dante74 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 BUMP! So, I was wondering if you had found a place to host the FS2004 model yet? I just got a hold of FS2004 at a discount price and would like to fly the beauty around a bit. Quote
Bad_Scorpion Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I would also like toknow where can get a copy of the 19 for my fs2004. It's itching for some new hardware. Quote

Star Dragon Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 I use this for my file uploads... http://upload2.net/ IF no one DL's in it goes away in 30 days. If it's active, but you forget your link while in other forums go back to the message you posted it in and re-copy it. - each file can be up to 25mb and unlimited number of uploads. Hope that helps anyone. For images I use: http://s22.photobucket.com/ or http://my.imageshack.us/ Quote
Lonewolf Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Another bump. Is the project still alive? Quote
Arbalest Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 (edited) Another bump. Is the project still alive? It better be. I will add the YF 19 to this one: The FFR-31 MR/D Super Sylph, "Yukikase" Hey, let everyone know where to download this file.... also if you are still working on the FSX version, don't forget to add thrust reversers. The Super Sylph needs some runway (a LOT of runway) to stop. Edited September 3, 2007 by Arbalest Quote

Here you go: http://www.fsdownload.com/modules.php?name..._Sylph_YUKIKAZE It handles great!! Only beef I have is that it doesn't have thrust reverse..... I need some pretty long runways to stop!! I have to powerslide it to stop on the runway!!!! Quote
Lonewolf Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I really wish Chronocidal would update us on this project. Do we have to consider it dead ? A pity as it was looking great. Quote
Wumzi Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I really wish Chronocidal would update us on this project. Do we have to consider it dead ? A pity as it was looking great. Yup, was really looking forward to flying this again. I remember playing with the original version when he was still working on it, and it was a joy. Unfortunately I lost it during a reformat. Would love to hear an update on the FS2004 YF-19. Quote
Arbalest Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I'll bump this again.....I want that aircraft!!!! Quote

Chronocidal Posted January 26, 2008 Author Posted January 26, 2008 (edited) Well, looks like I owe everyone another apology.. I had thought this file was distributed by someone a long time ago, but it apparently never happened. It's taken a really long time, and I can't guarantee this will work in FSX (if I remember correctly from trying it once, only the planes without any reflective textures work.. they turn transparent in FSX. There are ways to fix this by tweaking the textures, but I don't remember how to do it.) I am glad some people still have interest though, and I do hope to finish one for FSX later on (once I graduate I hope to be able to pick up the FS modeling a bit). I really apologize for keeping everyone waiting this long. It's my own fault, I tend to pick up too many projects at once, and things get pushed aside and/or forgotten. Hopefully someone will still get some fun out of this. Included are 3 models (two shiny test models, one with test probe, one without, and a dull material low-vis one), with 7 texture sets (white and tan prototypes, Supernova 4, 5, & 6, a plain bright white one, and a low-vis with some F-18 markings thrown on for fun). I never did learn how to make or add gauges, so the virtual cockpit is just for looks. The 2D cockpit uses the stock stunt plane instrument panel. Enjoy! If anyone has trouble downloading this (which, given the history of distribution this has, is pretty likely to happen), let me know and I'll look for another host. Download YF-19.rar This should be extracted directly into the FS2004 Aircraft folder. Edited January 26, 2008 by Chronocidal Quote
Lonewolf Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) Just tried it out in FSX Acceleration. It seems to be working just fine. I tried out the Blank textured one. Very nice work on the model. It's nice to have the thrust vectoring. Great job Chronocidal. EDIT : Spelling. Edited January 31, 2008 by Lonewolf Quote
Dante74 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I tried it in FS2004 and it's great. Thanks a lot! How about a YF-21 and VF-11 next? Quote
Chronocidal Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Lol.. well, I had hoped to do those eventually, but I've got a backlog of work in FS that may last me for years. Dunno when I'll be able to do more sadly. Quote
Dermeister Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Fine Fine jet That bird is fine now all it needs is a cockpit O_O and im talking about not a half made 1 but a Real YF19 pit like in macross plus Quote

Aurel Tristen Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 If anyone has the file, get it to me and I'll upload it on my website. I've had about 30 minutes of down time in the last 5 years I've owned it, so the link wont go dead. I'm still looking for a VF with a cockpit. Someone named ghost made a VERY nice VF-1S for ARMA (Go to youtube and search ARMA VF-1S), WITH a cockpit. If only that kind of thing were going on with FSX. I really wish I still had my YF19 from FS2000. Had working textures and all that, based off of some awesome free F-14s that had all the fancy effects and such. I had just started work on the cockpit.
