Mowe Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I spotted this box art for the TV Version due for next March. From the pictures (though a little small), I can't see the clothed joint, may be they decided to take it out?? [attachmentid=41121] Quote
drifand Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 It's for THIS March and the cloth covers are definitely there: http://www.cmscorp.jp/product/pat_bg_13tv.htm Quote
GobotFool Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 Mine just arrived. Awesome awsome toy. A tad small but the detail and quality is great! I'm really looking forward to the Alpha and Betas Quote
GDomino Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 I'm surprised no one has mentioned the in scale Tyrants and the Command Car from CM's also up for preorder at HLJ. Quote
Graham Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Saw the Tyrants at WonderFest. They are all PVC, with no or almost no articulation, well maybe the just the shoulders and hips (unsure). Graham Quote
GDomino Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Yep, the Tyrants are vinyl with minimal articulation and seem a bit overpriced at about 5000 yen a piece and the Command car is part of a gashapon set, again overpriced at 7800 yen. I don't think the Command Car will be diecast. But for the diehard fans that want to make their own Patlabor dioramas, they have these options.... Quote
Scream Man Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 that said, does the command car and figure series come in blind boxes like the macross figures, or do u see what u are getting? Quote
Graham Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I think it's going to be blind boxes. Graham Quote
Scream Man Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 see, that sucks. Id get a command car and maybe the figures. but i have no idea who the kid in black is. and those things cost about $17 each over here, so i sure as hell dont want doubles.... back to the Cm Labor; does the hand extend out of the arm to grab the pistol? and i read somewhere the labors are roughly 1/48, is that correct? Quote
Graham Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 The kid in black is from the tV series IIRC and is the pilot of that ugly black Labor with wings. Can't remember the name of it, maybe 'Griffen'. Yes, the hand extends on the CM's. It should be smaller than 1/48 as the pilot figure is smaller than a Yamato 1/48 VF-1 pilot. Graham Quote
drifand Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 'Kid in black' is a homeless orphan and video game whiz, exploited by Utsumi (Schaft) to become the pilot for Griffon. Each time he fought Noa he thought it was a game, right up until the final showdown. SO IF YOU BUY IT MAYBE WE'LL GET A DIECAST GRIFFON!!! Quote
Mr March Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 (edited) The kid is Bud Renard. He pilots the J-9 Griffon labour. Drifand has the rest right. Personally, I think the Griffin looks fantastic, though it is a bit ornate as far as Patlabor goes. But as long as it looks cool, I'm willing to go for it. Die cast Griffon please be forthcoming but i have no idea who the kid in black is. The kid in black is from the tV series IIRC and is the pilot of that ugly black Labor with wings. Always liked the military designs more, especially the Helldiver. Graham Quote
Godzilla Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Are those fig 1/48 scale? Even the command car? The figs look fugly but it could be just the picture. Quote
Graham Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 The figures and command car are in scale with the die-cast Ingram. I think the scale is a bit smaller than 1/48 though. Graham Quote
Scream Man Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 bigger than 1/60? So soemwhere between the Yamato Macross scales? Quote
drifand Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 For goodness sake, it's 1/48 scale. The measurements of the head height (up to tip of antenna) of 17-18cm (depending on how you position the neck) corresponds to MAHQ and other reliable labor tech-info. And the pilots will fit a 1/48 scale Votoms cockpit very nicely. Quote
ShadowerV2 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 1/48 That's a pretty good scale. Make a good diorama with the 1/48 Valks. A Labour giving Max or Hikaru a Speeding ticket.... Quote

Lynx7725 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 (edited) Now THAT I'd like to see How's the Ingram supposed to catch a Max Special?? EDIT: But the thought of Oda going all postal on Max is quite entertaining. Edited March 14, 2007 by Lynx7725 Quote

F-ZeroOne Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 They describe bud as a boy and the english dub is voiced by a male (Jamie McGonnigal). Though to be fair to Graham, he does dress up as a girl along with Mr. Wong to escape from Tokyo. Quote
Scream Man Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 they're 1/48? awesome.... Slap a Macross kite on their somewhere and u have UN Spacy MP's... Quote
lechuck Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Someone please post some detailed comparison pics with a 1/48 valk (mecha, pilots ect.). Quote
Godzilla Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Anybody know which site to get these? I am trying to find a deal on shipping if I order 2x of these and a wave sdf-1. Problem is that I see these on ebay and they are freaking expensive. Quote
Godzilla Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 www.toy-wave.com has them. Ugh $120? I think what we need is a HK toy run so I can pay $88 for them. Quote
ShadowerV2 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Wel it's one places that has it. No harm in looking around if that price doesn't suit you. Though personally I like the revoltechs. So those would be enough for me. Quote
Mr March Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 (edited) *EDIT* Forget it, I just found it in the New Arrival section only. Edited March 17, 2007 by Mr March Quote
lechuck Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Another detailed review over at toyboxdx: http://toyboxdx.com/phorum/read.php?1,163051 Impressive I must say, but the price does sting a bit. Quote
Scream Man Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 toywave IS in Hong Kong. And Kens always been good with his prices. Im gtting mine off him. Good review. i didnt realise the shulder lights cycled. i just t5hought they lit up Quote
Godzilla Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Oh I got mine today... man it is like xmas. I got my wave SDF-1, dell laptop, and now this. This thing is sweet. Unforunately the price was like $130 and I bought the last one on BBTS. Good lord, this thing is a hefty robot. I like it. It is just plain awesome. It was definitely worth the money IMHO. I know most complain about the price but picking up this bad boy, I know it is good quality. I am just pissed that it only one Ingram instead of two but seems like CMs is milking it. Looks like I will get 2 more to make a complete set. If the make a Zero, I will get two. I will get the Griffin and Helldiver as well if they make it. I am definitely want the command car that are coming out as well. (Figures I can care less). If this is how CMs entering this market, I am having high expectations for the legioss and tread... toynami be damned. Quote
Scream Man Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Mine arrived today! Woo! Cant wait to open it up! Quote
Scream Man Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 ...and now i have. Its much MUCH smaller than i expected. I thought someoen said it was 20cms tall or something; its more like 15. At first this dispmayed me a bit, but further fiddling has made me like it a bit more. The light system is incredible. If they were a little cheaper to buy Id get a second so I could have a unit 1 and a unit 2. Quote
drifand Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 And I've just gotten an email from a local seller that the TV-Edition will be arriving very, very soon. My wallet is trembling in anticipation. Quote
