Lonely Soldier Boy Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 (edited) Thank you, guys. One more question: is the Peacemaker a fun toy to play (limbs falling aside), or is it better to leave it off as a nice display piece? I ask because I have so much fun with my Revo Brocken, but I'd be nice to get a bigger one with more accessories. Edited August 28, 2008 by Lonely Soldier Boy Quote

olivers Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I thought the only difference was the colour. Blue vs Red. Am I missing something? Quote
IXTL Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I thought the only difference was the colour. Blue vs Red. Am I missing something? Yes the only difference is the colour. The retail version of the OVA Brocken should also come with the interchangeable armour in red. I can't see them justifying the same price tag for both if they leave it out. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Damn! Those legs are short. That Ingram reminded me of that old Valk with the huge canopy to fit the action figures. I don't mind the chubby looks of the torso, but it seems like Yamato couldn't afford legs big enough to go with it. Quote

'Improvements' you know? Quote
Fort Max Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 A bit worried now that the yamato still has that gray, I know, I know, it's probably still a prototype. But when you get to the point wher eevery picture you've seen of the thing is in the wrong colours you can't help but worry they've somehow managed to make an enormous balls up. Do like the features though, especially ther magnet hands, if they can make it work so the gun handle just slips into an open hand and is pulled out of the holster then that'd be amazing. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 For all we know, there's a ver 1.5 planned already: Longer forearm + longer legs. 'Improvements' you know? I didn't know. So they're making those changes before the figure comes out or they'll wait for the second release? Quote
QuinJester Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I didn't know. So they're making those changes before the figure comes out or they'll wait for the second release? He was being facetious. As far as we know, there are no changes planned at all. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Hahaha! Sorry, I'm an idiot. Ok. I guess is one less toy to buy. I was waiting for a nice pilot figure to pop out to make up my mind but those legs did it. Quote
IXTL Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 (edited) From C3 X Hobby 2008 1:35 Scale Ingram Unit 2 Concept from the Live Action Movie which never materialized. Info about the never produced film here and the 'test trailer' . Edited September 2, 2008 by IXTL Quote

olivers Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I'll only be getting 2 of the above (well 3 as 2 Hannibals). Not sure why anyone would buy the live action Ingram, it looks nasty. Quote
IXTL Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) New official images of Yamato's 1/24 AV-98 Ingram Unit 1 http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_059/index.html The Noa figure is nicely painted but not articulated and appears to have a swappable head. Edited September 12, 2008 by IXTL Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Normally I'm a lineart accuracy nazi, but Yamato's 1/24 AV-98 Ingram Unit interpretation is the awesome!!! in this case, I like the liberties taken. can't wait for it. Quote
promethuem5 Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Oh dear.. those pictures may have sold me... Quote
Dante74 Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) The Noa figure looks scary. Where do I sign up? I need this. Too bad about the grey instead of black detailing though. ::EDIT::Can't find it on HLJ. When's this due for release? Edited September 12, 2008 by Dante74 Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Shorty's got a lot of nice features, I give him that, but the pilot figure is also a let down for me. Quote
todd77 Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Wow, the articulation is really nice, though judging from the poses, the squat legs are now even more apparent (particularly the leg-lifting shots), to me at least. Can't complain too much though since at the moment, Yamato's Ingram looks to be the definitive toy incarnation when you consider all the features. Also, looking at some of the poses (the prince's funky walk cycle and the cat's cradle), I suppose we can expect TV versions as well (instead of swappable shields and antennas)? Love that open hatch, kneeling pose. Quote
Scream Man Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 yeah I can live withthe short legs too, though it shocks me that Yamato hasnt noticed it themselves. Quote
holytoledo69 Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Does anyone know who'll be selling the yamato version here in the states? And if so, how much will it retail for? Quote
Lynx7725 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Too bad about the grey instead of black detailing though. Not that that's particularly hard to fix... Original photo off Yamato site, "decals" from WAVE :D , colouring courtesy of Photoshop.. I think what I don't quite like about the Yammie version is the potbelly look. I don't quite need to be reminded of my own spread... Wonderfully articulated, but Yamato does have a rep for having joint failure.. so I'm not too sure at the moment. Quote

promethuem5 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Agreed... the grey makes no sense, and looks terrible... it's gotta be black on the final. Quote

IXTL Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Yamato 1/24 Ingram in final colours. http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/article?mid=14736 Quote
Mowe Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Nice, if only the thigh is a bit longer to make it less stubby. Quote
IXTL Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) From Toy-World.com.hk The legs are painfully short. The right hand is almost low enough to grab the revolver cannon from the leg compartment even without extending. The biggest flaw in an otherwise fantastically detailed piece. Edited October 8, 2008 by IXTL Quote
todd77 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 The 3/4 view doesn't look too bad proportion-wise but the full-frontal one really shows how short those legs are or how oversized the body and arms are in comparison to the legs. It's almost similar to Yamato's 1/48 valks with their nosecones extending past their knees only this time it's the hands with the Ingram. Here's a reference lineart: And the asking price - woah - that's a little hard to swallow especially when you consider the less than ideal proportions... Quote
the white drew carey Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 This is kind of shoddy, but I took the lineart Todd77 posted and laid it over the Yamato. For reference, I used the tip of the feet as a starting point, and matched the shield on the chest. It seems, according to the lineart, that the Yamato is much more squat. So, take it for what it is... Quote
Scream Man Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 $418 aussie dollars before shipping?!?!?!?! Man there is no toy in the WORLD I like that much! Quote
