SuperHobo Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 A sneak peek at Yamato's 1:24 scale Patlabor figure. According to the poster it will be about 33cm or about 13inches tall Quote
QuinJester Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 A sneak peek at Yamato's 1:24 scale Patlabor figure. According to the poster it will be about 33cm or about 13inches tall I really hope that's a funny camera angle or something they shot it from. The head and torso are too big, the legs too skinny and short. Actually, I really hope that's what it really looks like so I'm not tempted. The CM's is good enough for me. Quote
Chet Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Who wants to bet their gonna stick it into one of those big-ass 1:48 Valkyrie boxes? Quote
Sundown Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Yeah, that initial shot of the 1/24 Patlabor is none too impressive. Hopefully other shots will show it off better. Quote
Scream Man Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 wasnt there another pic ages back that just showed it standing? Im excited about it anyway. 1/24 is pretty big.... Quote
IXTL Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 (edited) wasnt there another pic ages back that just showed it standing? Im excited about it anyway. 1/24 is pretty big.... I think you are referring to the WAVE Ingram which looked pretty bad. The earlier pic of the Yamato one just shows the blueprint drawing that can also be seen in the background of the latest pic. Temjin Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Does it come with the labor carrier? I think it looks soild. Quote
electric indigo Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 This came a bit underneath my radar - Kotobukiya's 1/72 Hannibal at Shizuoka Now a HAL-X can't be far... Quote
Anavel Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Do you have any confirmation that kotobukiya is making this. I saw a few photos in galleries but nothing confirming any info about it. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Is it a toy? Is there a 1/72 Patlabor line of mecha being made by Kotobukiya aside from the Hellhound? Quote
electric indigo Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 I got the info from a blog, so it's not exactly bulletproof, but the kit would make sense considering Kotobukiya's latest releases. Quote
electric indigo Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 (edited) Model Graphix gives the Hellhound kit some much needed love: http://photo.163.com/photos/kunluinlmodel/...901/4666427507/ and shows us how to take things on step further: http://photo.163.com/photos/kunluinlmodel/...901/4666428140/ edit: found this pic of the Hannibal, can someone translate the fineprint and confirm if this a Koto IP kit? drifand Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 edit: found this pic of the Hannibal, can someone translate the fineprint and confirm if this a Koto IP kit? Yup. Kotobukiya 1/72 'Real Mechanical Action Collection'... 'same product series as the Hellhound' <and I might be wrong here> clear parts and light-up gimmick for the gatling gun. Quote
type j9 Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Hi I believe that Griffin will cut the head sv 51, 2 AV98 and YF19 will not prevent it. nothing can stop it except maybe a type 0 Quote
Save Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Pictures from last months World Hobby Fest The Final, Patlabor toy at the Yamato booth. Quote
GobotFool Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 Over all it looks very nice, though the chest seems a tad to big, I guess that might be for the accommidation of a figure. Quote
promethuem5 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 What happened to the proportions? Either the top half's too big, or the legs are too small, but it's UGLY. Quote
GobotFool Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 What happened to the proportions? Either the top half's too big, or the legs are too small, but it's UGLY. The chest looks to long, IMHO. Quote
-JP- Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The head sculpt looks wrong doesn't look like our ingram Quote
yellowlightman Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The head sculpt looks wrong doesn't look like our ingram I think it actually looks quite a bit like the AV-98 from the TV series, with the larger upper body. Amusing that it's using the movie license, though. Quote
drifand Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 (edited) I'll take just one 1/24 P2-flak vested Ingram No. 3 with articulated Nagumo figure, thank you. Edited June 3, 2008 by drifand Quote
Fort Max Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 A lot of it is painted grey instead of black but it looks pretty good. Looks like it should have some nice mechanical details. Quote
Scream Man Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 i dont think thats final paint, id say its still a proto Quote
QuinJester Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Honestly, I hope they DON'T change it much from now until the final, because then I wont feel tempted to buy it as the Ingram is one of my favorite (and most-purchased) mecha designs and I'm quite happy with my small die-cast CM's releases. Quote
Penguin Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Yup. Kotobukiya 1/72 'Real Mechanical Action Collection'... 'same product series as the Hellhound' <and I might be wrong here> clear parts and light-up gimmick for the gatling gun. Now I'm getting excited. I've been waiting for the non-Ingram mechs to get some love. Bring on the HAL-X and some new Helldivers! Quote
Lynx7725 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Hmm, a bit too much hip, a bit too much gorilla arms. I'll wait, but probably pass. Still, having a AV-98 means that much closer to the X-0. Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Wow, it looks huge. I like the cloth coverings Quote
type j9 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Hi, it's look good this Av98 YAMATO, I'll waiting for a rewiew to see its capabilities. did it a release date and what is the price be approximately. I hope to see a Griffonlabor 1 / 24 from YAMATO and a TYPE 0 from CM'S or YAMATO. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 The Yamato Votoms line is getting pretty large and those are really big and detailed. I think a Zero and a Griffon are a given, but we will have to wait quite some time IMO. Quote
drifand Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 REALITY CHECK: All 1/12 Votoms by Yamato are based on the original Scopedog design with changes only in head/legs/weapons. No Fatty, Turtles or Beetles since 2004. And as much as we'd like to see a Hargun or E=X G, the 1/15 Garlands are basically paint variants except for the improved tooling on the Proto G. So... can we expect more from Yamato's 1/24 Patlabors besides the OVA/TV/Movie1&2/CLAT variants? "Macross is Yamato's Gundam." :-) Quote
