Hi All

Macross Toy Noob here...

Loved the series way back in the 80s...loved the toys, just wasn't available in my country, or folks coudn't afford it...anycase got the VF-os. Great valk great detail, but transforming this valk, literally took me 30 min the first time...and I thought the toy would be robust and strong, its quit fragile....in my opinion: I bought toynamis 1 to 100 scale hikaru, transformation 2 min tops... stronger than vf-os if dropped...not bad detail at all either...my point is Im quit disapointed with the ease, sorry the lack of transformation of such a big toy, the vf-os is great to leave in a position for 6 months and then chnage for the next 6 months..

I don't know if I'm the only one that feels this way...

Question: 1 -how easy is it to transform the vf-1s at 1/48 scale from yamato?

2 -Has The vf-0a improved upon the vf-0s?

1. Very easy learning curve. Do not worry. No need to read Japanese. Just follow the photographs. I recommend having a paperclip handy.

2. Yes it is. Tighter joints all around, plus locks for the feet.

1) Photographs? What a waste of time. Go to the main Macrossworld.com page. Toys. Yamato. 1/48. First 1/48 image on your top right. Scroll all the way down and click on the only link. Scroll down again and watch Grahams VIDEOS on how to transform the sucker.

Frack, just to show you how nice I am I'll even include a link.

MacrossWorld. More then just a forum.

2) Eh. Read what Kensei said.

That link works? That's news for me. Thought it was corrupted. I'll take a look, I want to know how Graham transforms his.

The links work(in Quicktime. WMP only had audio). I checked the first one just to make sure. (of course having said that the rest of them are probably not going to work.)

There's a learning curve with these toys. First few times takes a lot of patience and you'll learn tricks to help you out along the way. By the 5th time you'll have it down to a point where you never have to stop and be frustrated. Then, after a million or so transformations, it'll be a piece of cake! :D
